Was anyone here at the launch of Big Bass Theory at Fire and Ice Friday night? It was pretty fine, shame about it being in the back room. Didn’t matter though cos the main room was empty! Serve ’em right for playing :laugh_at: garage.
Hope it lasts, we need some good nights put on.

at least though the location of Fire and Ice is such that CCTV can more easily monitor large groups coming from outside town and get units on the ground to check them out before they have a chance to cause trouble, unlike Zest which was about a minutes walk from the station and where all the way up to the last trains a large group would just blend into the commuters (also a multicultural group of people of all ages) exiting the station making separation and detection a difficult task…
if you’re gonna play garage / urban music you’ve now got to think about stuff like this, thats what form 696 is all about..

I can’t see why they don’t have 16+ rule and just ID at the bar if they really feel they have to. TBH in all local events I have attended the 16-18 age group have not caused any problems whatsoever, nor the “oldies” (age 25-40+), it is the group in the middle what tend to start beef, usually domestic arguments being brought to the venue…

It’s what happens when you realise you don’t have to try your hardest to get in places any more, all of a sudden the whole world is opened up to you. It’s not after you’ve woken up one too many times in a ditch with a blank spot where your memory used to be you start to ease up. Fucking great fun at the time though 😉
