I personally think meow meow can lead to more mental health problems than people think.
I know a friend who has mental health issues anyway and meow meow has just made the thing worse. In my opinion, any drug can make mental health worse. its a fine balance between fun and abuse
I think Cliffy had some problems for a while after taking mephe a bit too much.
Have come across some serious long term effects from mephedrone and would advise approaching it with extreme caution as a result. Maybe I have come across more casualties than others but I certainly won’t be trying it.
mephedrone is very dangerous, with little known info on it
I think the point here is that drugs effect people diferantly, as I know of people (including myself) who have taken mephedrone with little to no problems, then on the other hand I know of people who have had serious issues with side effects.
The only problem I had with it really was the addictiveness … I’ve not got addicted to it, but can certainly see how people can. Other people have reported mental health problems and a fair few reported problems with vascula restriction (SP?) skin going blueish where the blood isn’t flowing properly.
If your friend isn’t taking much and can controll his drug intake and isn’t experiancing any negative side effects he may just have a good constitution for mephe and may not run into anyproblems. This doesn’t mean to say that he’s not taking a risk.
Even the term “dangerous” is relative. A lot of folk say that getting on a bicycle is “dangerous” – more so than walking or driving a car, it may well be but I have been safe/lucky.
Just like with MDMA in the early 90s, The media kept spinning paranoia over the extremely rare risk of a fatal overdose (only a handful ever happened). The real harm caused by party drugs is the impact of acute (sudden) mental health issues on otherwise healthy people – these can lead to self-harm or even suicide – and chronic physical health problems caused by overuse which make people unfit for work or education and hold them back in life.
mephedrone addiction creeps up on people though, one big difference between it and MDMA or other amfetamines is the comedown (which can be very sketchy and paranoid) arrives much more suddenly – one moment you are buzzing the next its a empty paranoid feeling where you don’t even trust your mates and want to get back home or somewhere solitary as quickly as possible. Whilst this can happen on other stimulant party drugs its not quite as sudden…
