a lot of people looking at the daytime Frenchtek videos from a few years back said “there was hardly any people there” but the reality was people were sheltering from the sun.
Also, I don’t know what the legal status is about raves in Japan but its possible that they are deliberately not showing the whole thing or all the people there same as some UK crews don’t like having photos/videos online, although one shot seems to hint that the teknival was spread out over a much larger area… might also be a cultural thing about having both private and communal space and discretion when taking part in controversial activities…
the Japanese after all certainly know how powerful a photo can be 😉
