I asked you for the evidence that went against my ‘old wives tales’ beliefs and you gave me none.
Where is your credible argument?
I see what i’m saying as basic common sense, but please explain to me why i am wrong.
My argument is that there is no black or white here.
For me the problem is exactly the sustainability of what you mean by ‘basic common sense’ and the generalizability of it. At the end of the day, it is a free country and you are entitled to your point of view and I am entitled to mine.

something you are in favour of 🙂
Phil mate, you remind me of dis guy called Col.
I think you two could get along, you should hook up.
i pay loads in taxes and a lot of it gets wasted on stupid government schemes, illegal wars and shoring up failed banks. that makes me angry because it was my money that I worked hard for. people who claim benefits when they are capable of working but choose not to also makes me angry for the same reason

Would you also condemn a generation of hippies who opted to get off the grid and sit round the camp fire at festivals with a big fat spliff instead of going to work.
the peace convoy all worked mate, just in less obvious ways

ha ha – i was trying to remember what that guys name was cus i was thinking the same!

I would say i have given my argument very clearly …. JSA is for people who aren’t working BUT ARE LOOKING FOR WORK. Not for people to get some money when they don’t want to get a job.
I’m struggling to see his intelligent argument. His arguments are all about stereotyping. Once we got past that issue and started talking about people who are definately committing benefit fraud, he has nothing. Check through this whole 5 page thread if you don’t believe me!

Yes you are right, my argument was all about stereo-typing by ignorant working class people. Beyond that I have nothing to say. You have got the wrong end of stick as I was never at any point advocating benefit fraud.
so actually we agree entirely and can now become best of PV friends. Delightful raaa
