you mean its getting worse? it was getting bad when I quit Reading in ’06.. :hopeless: people don’t realise that if they get ill from ketamine it gets pointed out to the feds by NHS – usually NOT people’s names as its against human rights but numbers of addicts get recorded and its discussed at the Drugs and Alcohol Action team..

the more this happens the more cops feel justified in taking harder action like using riot squad against parties, bringing crews before Court to make a example of people, crushing rigs etc..

I went to a party on Saturday which was almost ket free. It was a good party, and included fire performers. However, the one guy (that I could see) on ket ended up playing with the fire things – swinging flaming balls on chains – and very enarly setting himself and several bystanders on fire.

Keep ket in the home.

why does it bother other people that some people are K’d out of their brains? people are not there to entertain you. Are people aware of the irony of dictating what drugs people should be allowed to take at FREE party? And lets be fair, most people on K manage to not set themselves on fire.

If were gonna play that game I vote we ban anyone who is drinking any kind of alcohol. In fact sod it, lets just stop calling them free party’s and start calling them club nights without toilet facility’s.

Free party scene is just a bloody hypercritical as every other “alternative” scene I have been involved with sometimes, goths were just a bloody bad.

and yes I am coming down so sod you all 😉

agreed.. parties is the best place to take k.. some people might overdo it but that’s their choice.. i dont like coke but i dont go around preaching to everyone about it

before the cops got airwave radios some of the things what came over on the scanner and the sketchy situations the cops ended up in sounded as if a fair few of TVP had been helping themselves to the confiscated substances :laugh_at:

TBH although excessive K use is clearly bad its not the drugs what matter but the attitudes of the people at the event. There are enough reports of townies on booze and mephedrone still being muppets, I also remember when I lived in Reading people what could do pills and still be angry/get into fights….

All the goths at high school thought I was a “junkie” because I occasionally did speed! (it was 1988/89 and the British drug culture amongst young teenagers was nothing like it is today).

Apologies if I offended anyone. I don’t mind ket at parties, unless the person on ket has fire on a chain.

Personally, I prefer to do ket at home, where I can’t fall over and hurt myself or anyone else.

Ive never done ket before so i cant comment on it from a users point of view, but from what i hear it largely makes people very unsociable, without them realising it. So it can only be a good thing i think that there is a drought on atm. Also parties of this nature may not be the best time for heart to hearts, but i do enjoy having meaningful conversations with a few close friends, if they were all on k i couldnt see that happening

i know where you’re coming from, some of the darker scenes I’ve seen at parties involved ket, but not so much as coke/crack

ket isnt harming shit, it’s the tilet which is fuckin it up!! FUCK YOU TILET

I even heard of someone i know cooking mephe into tilet cos it cooks up… i remember the night on 2c-e (crack crack crack) when i thought id spilt mephe into my k… how wrong i was.
