there’s differences though, between psychadelics and anaethetics, for example
people will tend to take the former when they are exploring and the latter when they are escaping
some of you seem to be getting something clear. not sure if i’ve understood the thread, but Insanity, amfet is physically addictive… i know a guy who couldn’t sleep without it
i used to know a guy who was adicted to LSD. he injected around 1250 – 2000 mikes every day for over a year. he self medicated his addiction and switched to e :you_crazy
I like K, its a brilliant clubbing accessory. Just wish I could get hold of it more often.
Also I used to like smacky pills and strawberries!! At least they worked unlike the three in one go pills of today!!

Ohh ok… well I’ll take your word for it… but I find it hard to understand how someone can become physically addicted to drugs like e’s, Ket and especially Lsd… I can understand people getting addicted to heroin and much likes but lsd? How does that work?
People get addicted to heroin and take it to make them selves feel normal… where as… lsd is a hallucinogen…. ?!?! Argh! lol :you_crazy
TBH I am not even sure if the medical professionals agree on the definitions of physical and psychological addiction.
I am increasingly seeing the term “problematic drug use” being used instead (particularly in documents by the NHS and other government authorities) – which is where the level of drug use is negatively affecting the lives of the user and the people around them.
A lot of recreational users may not consider themselves “addicted” but many are causing themselves and wider society problems without realising it (but the government is starting to count the numbers and the costs, they set up the NHS National Treatment Agency specifically to do this)…
yeah, i dont think you even have to do it every day to be addicted. could just be every weekend. i mean with all the recreational drugs, its easy to tell yourself, “i could give up if i wanted to, but theres no reason to give up at the minute” etc. for me, ive not had a weekend off raving in i cant remember how long, with most weekends being double raves. i cant seem to stop going out, im spending any available cash on going out and on drugs, and it is starting to affect my life. ive just fucked up uni, and am absolutely broke. but thats me. im weak and pathetic.
Do you feel like you cant control it fruitisbad? [Is that why you refer to yourself as weak and pathetic? or is that what other people have said to you about similar issues?]
Spending the money you haven’t got… to go out religiously and do the same thing every week… I know what you mean…
I’m not addicted to any drug… but I am addicted to the atmosphere, lights, sounds and feeling.
nah no ones said it i was just messin’ round. i probably could control it if i really wanted to. but at the same time im young and having fun so it’ll carry on for a bit more. stupid thing is, it will probably take something fairly serious to show me that i can’t keep this up forever. im only going to go to one rave this weekend. but i cant decide which one. more psytrance, or some hard tekno n nrg? hmmm..
OK :weee: my vote is for some techno then :groucho: [much better for shaking the kinks out IMO]

you build up a tolerance to lsd extremely quickly. if you take it two days in a row, you need to at least double the dose 2nd day to get a similar effect…. this guy was taking VERY high does intraveinously every day and seemed more able to deal with ‘normal life’ than someone who had just taken one trip, but for saying that, he was blatted
whether he would have had physical withdrawl if he stopped i don’t know. however… he couldn’t stop
