DO not put words in my mouth please. I didnt say you said his experience was “worthless” – where did i say that! I SAID the bad experiences of people are as valid as the good.

But why point out that SD is only warning against something cos he had a bad experience on it. That surely is obvious, if he hadnt had a bad experience he would’nt be warning people! Hes only trying to help a newbie…

As to your question, I might have taken that as a cheap jibe, but I will presume you are genuiniely interested…. so to answer Im addicted to nicotine….. and I DO wish i had listened to the advice of others more experienced than me, instead of thinking I could smoke in moderation.

Whatever im not wanting to argue. and I wasnt just making dig at you i was wondering why u replied the way u did. If you do seriously want to give up smoking have you read the Allen Car Easy way to stop smoking book? I dont want to sound like that Motumba guy preaching about Ibogaine, But it really did make me stop, easily.

I tired giving up but then i gave up giving up:wink:

    k is a bit poor

do it at home, occasionally, if you must

NEVER at a party, it has no place there. and if you find that you’ve taken it twice in the last 2 months, that’s too often

its’ effects are interesting a couple of times… move on

K at a party is just a bit pointless. When i see my friends i want to socialise with them, not just block them out.
Saying that tho there is a time and a place.
And it is a drug easy to abuse cause there doesnt semm to be that much of a comedown in the short term.
Would you say that doin mdma more than twice in 2 months was too much tho?

in the short term it might seem fine

i find a good dose (1/4g) about 3 or 4 times a year has no negative effects other than tiredness the next day

more than that and it will slow you down in life

    You may be right there.

Me too, I dont want to argue either… sorry sometimes I make my point too forcefully…

Thanks for the heads up on the Allen Carr book. Ive meant to read that for a while now, maybe I finally should.:group_hug

    No offence taken!

Im just speaking as a person who has struggled with addictions since the age of 13 after a bad childhood…

Ive been through a 7 year IV heroin and crack addiction/methadone/benzo’s/speed etc lol

Now im struggling with ketamine, people dont realise how psychologically addictive it is..

It was seen as a ‘safe’ drug until a few years ago, people are only now presenting to DDU’s with problems and im one of em!

On a lighter note I did a seminar in front of 50 second year med students yesterday about my addiction history which wsas very interesting…

Trying to do my bit for the community lol

Why is it so hard to get hold of Ketamine. Did it for the first time last saturday and I had the best time ever lol. Only downside now is that I can’t find anyone that can get it :hopeless:

Have you not tried your local vets ?

Your local stables is also a good place to look 😉

Personally i dont think k is any more psycologically addictive than weed/pills/speed/coke. If someone has an addictive/obsessive personality i think they can get addicted/obsessed by anything. Im not excluding myself here. I used to pretty much obsesivly smoke weed till i gave up, then did the same with pills, and maybe now a little with k. luckily ive never touched smack and never would simply because i know what im like.

Its obviously a good thing for people to be aware of the potential dangers tho..

    Only fools and horses mate…
It’s a nasy, unsociable, personality eroding drug that is really bad for your body!
I’ve had some of the best and worst experiences of my life on Regretamine and although i’m still partial to to occasional ‘beaut’, I end up regreting it every time (especially if it’s mixed with alcohol-which is normally the case because i’m so pissed that I forgot that i dislike the stuff)

I know PLENTY of people that have become addicted to the stuff and cannot go a day withount stuffing 2+ g.s up thier noses.

Listen to the advice and don’t bother, you’ll be saving yourself a lot of hasstle mate. Trust!

this is true, but with K it is also way easier to get into a pattern of using it midweek and every day.

Unlike overuse of stimulants where sleep deprivation will cause many unwelcome side effects in a short time, it takes longer for negative health effects to show (also people use it as a substitute because they have “burned out” from other party drugs)

me too, and I’ve seen this both in London/SE England and East Anglia.

Its not just having an impact on the party scene but on groups of friends at local level, too much of peoples lives seems to revolve around K (and other drugs). It gets painful to see people making the same mistakes over and over again, especially with growing opposition from “the rest of society” and wider political shift in some quarters towards the right wing and the enforcement of prohibition (despite how counterproductive it is….)

There are a lot of factors involved in addiction… socio-economic/personality/mental health issues/pre-disposition to addiction etc…..

K can be very addictive due to the psychoactive element… once u have lived in a K hole for a long time it can be very hard to be thrown back into the real world

Im not gonna argue with you anyway….

I have A LOT of personal experience and work experience from being a drugs worker/trained counsellor so I do have some idea what im talking about

Listen to the older people on the forums that also know what theyre talking about
