or they just don’t get caught or do too much 😉

in the end, no one wins anyway.
its a case of not creating too many losers.. the K-heads are costing this nation loads and will harden the views of those in power. Already they feel wholly justified in forcibly shutting down music events with cops, and destroying sound equipment as a reprisal for the negative effects the rave scene had on my generation as well as the perceived environmental damage etc….
unfortunately people will pretty much always form a normal distribution in everything they do including drug taking, there will always be those statistical outliers who push it so hard they need medical attention and give the rest a bad name. Maybe with better drug eduction you could squeeze more people closer to the mean..

guess it depends what u mean by win
but yeah I cant imagine there are many successful people who use class A drugs statistically speaking.
you’d be surprised
drug taking is rife amongst the elite of the financial world and the media.

hmm I think its less prevalent that people would like to believe but who knows.
Perhaps regular drug use is more the point. Thought I am aware “all” the bankers are meant to be coke heads it seems rather unlikely
the majority of those who av made it big in the music business are/have been coke heads or smoke green and they make serious moneys. robbie williams / coldplay / u2 / oasis just to name a few. quite a coincidence that the bands who are against drugs couldnt make a decent track to save there lives, dont you think?
im not glamorising drugs in any way im merely saying theyve done some good to this world. I think most folks would agree how important music is to them..
Ah, Fuck it, il let bill do the talking
YouTube – bill hicks drugs and music

well yeah artists are a bit different but there are hardly very many of them. Bill Hicks would have more power to me if he didn’t die from cancer after glorifying smoking all the time. Legend though.

it does happen but its still not that widely tolerated nor accepted and people regularly fuck up, and often there are bad consequences for those close to them…
those what do partake are in constant fear of being dobbed in, even by so-called friends or dealers – someone could make much more cash dobbing in a celeb to the papers than they can from the profit on a small drugs deal.
what more commonly happens is people do drugs for a bit, become succesful and then calm down loads/even stop taking them
being successful in business or art can be just as good as taking drugs..

you wud be suprised man. really. it goes as far back as the beatles. have a think of all the bands/artists that have made it big since the swingin 60’s (the rolling stones, bob marley, meatloaf, n.w.a, status quo, led zep, hendrix, take that, and loads fucking more) all different styles of music all of them in some form or another wud have been around weed.
you have to think of all the music producers/song writers etc etc, not just the singers/bands.

That maybe so but, only users lose drugs.
ah but you never hear about the people who dont get caught, you just assume they dont take them.
‘rife’ is probably an exaggeration to be honest but both industries are well known for their hedonism and drug taking. this could all be urban legends and chinese whispers as you only hear second hand from someone in the biz, but there’s got to be some truth behind it.
