‘rife’ is probably an exaggeration to be honest but both industries are well known for their hedonism and drug taking. this could all be urban legends and chinese whispers as you only hear second hand from someone in the biz, but there’s got to be some truth behind it.
I’ve worked in both media and financial services – not at the highest levels but on the outskirts in places like Reading where a lot of the real work is done particularly in IT and engineering.
Yes there is hedonism and drug taking (for instance some muppet left their used needles in pinewood dressing rooms when all the child actors in harry potter were there, even the luvvies went apeshit and called in the Met!)
but the real professionals find they cannot continue it because the work schedules are getting increasingly heavy, the effects of drug use on physical appearance and health are noticeable and that there is paranoia as celebs are constantly subject to scrutiny and there are always folk barking at their heels to take their jobs who will grass them up.
its also a lot easier to take drugs in less frontline jobs but even then folk are always watching, as its too easy to become sketchy/over-tired especially through even weekend use and then to fuck up something important. A lot more employers are insisting on drugs test for business-critical as well as safety critical roles, and in a long-term recession people simply cannot afford to fuck up too often.
there was a lot of drugtaking/partying and tolerance of people what did this in the dot-com boom times but those times are gone and never coming back.

most successful drug using celebs don’t get caught as such. what usually does for them is they actually stay clean whilst working hard to get their latest project completed. They then celebrate, forget their tolerance has dropped and overdose.
hi all
my mate has got himself 3g of crystal ket and hi is wondering how to get it in to powder form. on behalf of him i have searched the web to find an answer but no luck there are just so many threads on so many forums and so many opinions. he doesn’t want to just crush it. he has heard about putting it on a plate devolved in 20ml of water and putting it in a microwave for 5 minutes on full temperature. is this right? are there any better ways?
thanks
spike!
Put K on a plate. Add crushed iced water (melted) to the mix, not alot mind just enough to dissolve the crystals.
Get a pan of boiling water and put the plate onto the pan, make sure the plate is of equal size to the pan and is nice and secure over the top of the pan.
Once plate is on pan stir the mix around the plate with a small spoon, keep a eye on it as well and just leave, stir, leave, stir etc
Soon you will be left with a nice powder.
I used to prefer this method over the microwave idea cos it’s more fun.
haha! will you lose any as vapour? and if he puts too much water in would that only affect the the time it takes for the water to evaporate?
thanks for the reply

Afaik you shouldn’t lose any as vapour. Yeah too much water just means it takes longer.
Use a tea spoon for the water, Just keep adding it until the K has dissolved and it’s just water left. Make sure you use melted ice though or boiling water.
Good luck.
My mate told me this, he swore blind that you couldn’t use tap water on the K as it has impurities and distilled water is the way to go or failing that ice/boiled water. :@)
mix with water, only enought to dissolve, and then boil off the water in a small clean pan. do it slowly and be careful not to dry it out too much and burn it
