  • some laws are good, but mostly i feel like…’fuck the law’ what do you think?

    most laws are fine

but many are only there to protect the few

and it’s taking a downturn at the moment IMO

    check the legislative reform bill

I believe a lot of laws are necessary and esp to protect the vulnerable

however the rate at which our government has been passing bills is frightening.
I think labour have passed more laws over the last few years than any office in power. (i may be wrong as i am not the most up to date person, so sorry if i made that up in my head)
I also think if they are banning smoking they should have it banned in their houses of parliment f*ck whether its the queens bloody hall (or whatever) they should not have exceptions just because they’re M.P’s.:get_you:

(and I don’t even smoke anymore)

Dont think we can be without the laws..

Some of them arent fair,i admit that..:get_you:

:get_you: imo most laws r restrictions on our freedom, i agree that some r vital to the running of our society but i’m opposed to the fact that ne1 has the power to dictate wot i can or cant do with my own body or life so long as im not intentionaly harmin ne1 wheres the problem?:get_you:

excessive laws are IMO a symbol of a failing and dysfunctional society; where inequality, intolerance and paranoia create a climate where people are increasingly coming into conflict and refuse to find any consensus solution; so they expect the government to “sort things out”

OTOH some laws are needed because otherwise resources are not equally shared or for health and safety reasons (road traffic regulations are an example) or those who are physically strong or just violent will otherwise dominate others.

a lot of laws are unescesary and restrict our freedom. freedom to do what we will as long as it does not infringe on the freedom of others. however the government must have it’s place in helping make some of these things as safe as possible, without stopping us doing then.

if only. then i would gladly pay higher taxes.
