Hi there,
My name is Helen Dolan and I’m a researcher for SDMC Productions. We are currently in the process of making a 53″ factual documentary about legal highs.
We’d love to hear from anyone regarding their knowledge on the subject. Throughout the course of the episode we want to explore people’s views on legal highs from the professional and personal standpoints. We want to make this documentary as impartial as possible by getting views from both sides. This will be done through the means of interviews with a range of people including: psychologists, therapists, legal high users and the general public. By doing this we hope to both inform and educate the general public.
If you would like to be involved, please e-mail on the address provided below to arrange an interview and send you some questions about your area of expertise on the subject. The interview will last no longer than half an hour and can be done within our centrally Manchester based studio or at a preferred location of your choice.
For those who live near the Manchester area especially, please get in contact!

Plenty of threads for you to read but I doubt anyone will go on the record due to the stigma attached that would have a negative effect on their lives
BUT
The short short version is, illegals are safer and silly laws drive people to take silly risks with RCs/Herbals due to risk of prosecution and/or supply issues with the safer illegals, and it’s generally accepted by experts, medical professionals, users, and even many police that legalising recreationals like MDMA, LSD & Cannabis, having them quality controlled, taxed, and sold to over 18s with fact sheets supplied with each purchase would reduce harm, reduce crime, reduce wasted police time, and fund treatment & education programs.

What he said!
I’ll go on record, presuming you would be willing to sign a contract that outlines the fact that I would not want/allow anything to “go public”, until I have seen the final edit and agreed.

You’ve got a pretty skewed notion of “both sides”, in my opinion. Like, psychologists, therapists aren’t actually interested or motivated to do any experimental work on pharmaceuticals, legal high users can end up just as dead as illegal high users, and the general public doesn’t have a consensus.
I must therefore politely decline your offer as I doubt we could even agree what a “legal high” was.
Legal high TV shows fukin suck ass. I’d never want to be part of such dribble. Just to see how wank they are go on Vice or national geographic (can’t remember which though it may be both) to see how crappy and poorly made they are.
guessing this was …

… that.
Wasn’t half as bad as I thought it was going to be tbh. Very interesting to hear from the guy Dr.Z who’s taken over from Shulgin in some ways.

I don’t think that was it mate, just had a quick look at SDMC Productions’ fb page and on 23 June, they were still looking for people to take part, so guess it’s a different one. Think there’s lots of companies out there making these types of documentaries now.
ah ok, yeah it’s like a reality show for drug takers …

LOLZ, I’d love to see ‘I’m a celebrity, watch me struggle in a panicked confusion as I attempt to recover Paul Gascoigne’s cocaine from a scorpion nest that I have to base jump into’. Now that is a show I would tune in to watch.

How do I invest in this idea?!?!!?!?!

You needn’t invest. I think we can trick many celebrities into taking part simply by telling them it’s for charity. Just don’t tell them about the scorpions waiting for them at the bottom of the base jump. If they ask why Gaza is stood at the top looking increasingly twitchy it is because he’s getting anxious that we haven’t yet raised enough funds to get him his new liver.

Bullet proof!
The whole premise for this show may well be exploitative enough get C4 producers interested in its production lol.
