in some areas (maybe all England/Wales?) you often need a TENS license for later opening even if the venue has an existing premises license, unless the premises license holder is prepared to go through a whole set of license hearings at the Council to get the venue hours extended on a regular basis.
At least in big cities such as London or in some boroughs they aren’t that difficult or expensive to get.
