It didn’t go very well to be honest, I thought it was for a back of house job but it was actually front of house. I blagged and said it’s essential that the customer – or ‘guest’ as the interviewer corrected me on – always feels welcome and to make sure you accommodate them in every way possible. I haven’t got any experience but I made some stuff up about how I’ve worked with people before and how I make people feel comfortable which is important in this kind of role. If you ask me the interviewer was pretty shit and he made it an awkward interview, he kept stuttering and flicking through my CV and application trying to work out what to ask me next so there was a fair bit of silence. I would be pretty surprised if I got it but I’m not too fussed though because the pub is a bit of a shit hole and full of racists.
Never mind though I’ve got another interview tomorrow for a cleaning job so fingers crossed I do alright in that one. I’m pretty bad at interviews I think since I’m quite a nervous person, especially in situations like this, which is a bit of a shame because once I settle down I am very down to earth and good with people
