it seems odd especially as you are experienced and more mature and didn’t take other substances..
but perhaps because you are a very socially aware and intelligent person there is no mental escape from thinking about wider concerns and problems, and as we know drugs can amplify these…
it is a big reason why I no longer do them regularly myself, too much else in my life now (not bad or negative things, just essential stuff that needs doing) and the free time required is no longer there..
Might be a failry obvious question but have you got shit going on in your life at mo?

So true
That’s interesting because a friend from college once described something similar.
I and 2 of the 3 others has tripped a few times together and we are all relatively experienced with psychedelics. It was the other friends first time and we were going to guide him through the experience. We all had a fruit pastille each and everything went as smoothly as it could have for 5 hours or so until me and another dropped another pastille each. A while later after we had entered another planet my other two friends (1 being the virgin) decided to go home, saying they felt relatively sober.
Half hour later we get a call saying that the friend who was trying it for the first time had ran off.
When he explained it the next day, he said that he was walking on the pavement in my estate and the consistent flash of walking past the lamp posts sent him west and he thought he was stuck in a loop and the only way to break this loop was to just run as far as he could can.
Unfortunately hearing this sent us on a dark route. Leaving my house in the hope of searching for him at 5am in an area with more than its fair share of busybodies wasn’t really an option so we just sat and waited and luckily our friend called back and said everything was ok and they were both back home. Experiencing a huge feeling of relief whilst on acid was amazing however.
Dont recall looping, but do remember the ‘Missions’ as we used to call them, we would decide to get to the top of the mountain or build something, plan it like it was the most important thing in the world and go at it simpleminded until a new distraction just made us forget completely and change direction to do something else, and for some reason we kept stealing milk off peoples doorsteps and drinking it by the pint
Hmmm… looping people who are not on acid; frequently used tactic, especially if the requested information isn’t forthcoming.
Example: “What have YOU been, what have YOU been doing”.
Looping people on acid; I think it’s often a slightly different reason, people are so fucking smacked sideways with their current idea that they have no capacity to get rid of it and must repeat it in order to discharge the tension.
Example: “It’s an alien… A FUCKING GIANT… IT’S A FUCKING GIANT ALIEN MAAAAAAAAN…”
So it’s a similar root cause, but the brain on acid, being on acid, is somewhat more energised than usual.
I witnessed this my friend just got in her head the my other friends mother was dead I saw her snapp she just kept repeating kelseys mom is dead no matter how many times we told her she wasn’t I think she forgot she was trippubg and got fixated on something terrible
