With £200 a day just for food. If is was me I might be inclined to take up a coke habit. Least I’d stay skinny ;-)))

Even with the money I’m not sure if politicians or celebs have it that easy today; they are not just constantly being stalked and judged by media but their entire families are at constant risk to their safety. I grew up in 1970s/1980s and it was regular for both politicians, religious leaders and pop stars to be blown up with bombs or shot dead in broad daylight on the streets, and this was in modern European countries. Nowadays they have a lot more “close protection” and other security precautions. what IS are doing today (which they were still doing then but few dared report on it) is small potatoes compared to some of the things which went on in 1980s/1990s Europe.

That said (and I would not like to see society return to the way it was 20-30 years ago) I do think this particular old lord should be judged because of his direct involvement in preventing Scotland having more autonomy over its legislation. It is not illegal to cross dress or to use the services of consenting sex workers anywhere in the UK – it is only a crime to take class A drugs. If these drugs were decriminalised he would not have got any bother.
