Shia’s next flick The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countrymen requires him to trip on acid. So Shia, determined to do things the proper way, went out and did it for real. “There’s a way to do an acid trip like Harold [and] Kumar, and there’s a way to be on acid,” he told USA Today. It seems he chose the latter!
“Sean Penn actually strapped up to that chair in Dead Man Walking. These are the guys I look up to,” he said.
Shia’s also going to be doing his sex scenes ‘for real’ in a forthcoming Lars Von Trier erotic drama called Nymphomaniac. The young blockbuster star appears to be turning into quite the method actor.
Shia joins a compendium of stars who have gone that bit further for their art. Click through the gallery to meet them.“
Looks off his tits to me.
So basically we learn (again) that if you want to do drugs and be applauded for it you have to be rich and famous.
I heard about this, I would say I like they guy but i’m pretty sure my GF fantasises about him. So I hate him.
Jokes LOL
KUDOS for the fella for admiting it, I also heard he drank some moonshine for a film role too.

And creative. And arty. And be prepared never ever to have anything you produce ever be considered but drug induced drivel.
Ha ha yeah, that too.
But still, someone as creative and arty but not as famous would probably not get the star struck treatment, is what I’m saying.

exactly, blatant admission of drug use only works for some professions. Consider how Barack Obama who was briefly unrepentant about his youthful drug use had to backtrack as he was being villified even by his own supporters.
in the 90s there was (as bizzare as it may seem) a brief rise in tolerance in drug use amongst the tech / IT community but nowadays (even if individuals might have more liberal views) its back to wanting people to live “cleaner” lifestyles.
Thankfully I’ve never encountered it myself, (or I would never have got certain jobs :laugh_at:) but I’ve seen reports big UK and European firms now drug test IT and Finance staff in management rôles as well as the obvious safety critical rôles in heavy industry and transportation – alcohol use and risky lifestyles are also increasingly monitored.
Even in the medium size company I currently work at the young staff would have no problem about informing on a colleague whose alcohol or drug use is affecting their work (though if it isn’t normally no one would know)
film stars/creative careers are seen as short term and disposable though, consider that 3 entertainment industry chaps have committed suicide this month alone (OK one was older and possibly terminally ill but the other two were our sort of age)
Why again would they need an actor to be on acid?
Might reconsider my career 😛
