that panic though you think damn it I need to soba up.. hurry up trip ENDDDDDDD and you know it will eventually but you wish you could click your fingers and end it… and with the ambulance its even worse when you actually see real ambulance there.. freaks you out more.
also whenever ambulances are deployed into areas where people have taken drugs, they tend to be accompanied by the Police as “safety measures” which of course makes folk even more paranoid and on edge, and also because the paramedics get associated with feds and work closely with them (especially with them all being on the same airwave radios now) they too become more wary of the situation and it affects how they treat the patients.
whilst the NHS is still relatively non judgemental thats only because the staff are closely nannied and watched by authorities above them and enforced political correctness, not because they don’t want to judge some of the people they treat. you can’t blame them though as they are often young people our age who have given up their weekends/fun lifestyles to look after others and they are faced with people taking what they view to be silly risks with theirs and others lives.
last new years eve there was a medic walking around @ acid monkey and police where there but they disappeared pretty much as soon as I arrived
some events hire paramedics privately and even entire ambulances, but unless they are local they cannot bluelight people into the nearest hospital as they may not know where it is, also nowadays different hospitals speicalise in different bits of the body (for instance Papworth specialises with the heart whils addenbrookes looks after heads and brains). Until 2005 they could call up the nearest control room on VHF radio with the NHS ambulances but I’m not sure if private ambos are allowed on Airwave (every time I’ve seen one at work they’ve been too busy to have a chat with the workers). Incidentally the concept of equipping ambulances with portable radios was developed in Cambridge 😉
oh I see, I thought that was all the hospitals close by just making sure every one is ok. good call on hiring them though.
the NHS is useless though, my brother came out worse then when he went in and they cause problems.
one nurse said “tell him everything is ok even if it is not just to get rid of him”
imagine hearing that from a nurse and blood test results.
very good idea from cambridge me thinks 😀
The NHS (like any other healthcare organisation) needs to be run properly and with a good range of ages in all grades. Younger people sometimes aren’t as good at treating people their own age compared to babies/kids or old folk.
To be fair their strengths are in emergency care and stuff like delivering babies (for instance there are 10 000 born each year in Ipswich hospital, thats a lot of babies (nearly 200 a week) its impressive that they and the mums are all kept healthy and those babies who are premature or need special care don’t end up being misallocated to the wrong parents.
I’ll find the link to that old film a chap sent me about the VHF radio, its pretty funny by modern day standards..
Yeah send us the link 🙂
Can’t wait to see what acid is going around London though. Hope strong tabs
I put it in the technology section – some of that kit was still being used when I was younger and most taxicabs and ambos until 1980s used Philips radios rather than Japanese kit. I think sepura (what remains of Pye/Philips) is still in Cambridge and makes the airwave terminals for cops and some other wireless comminunication stuff.
so really cambridge is in the past with the tech they use.
might mix some ket with the LSd this new years… I not done K for yearssss

yeah bare fake k about an dissociatives seem to make the beauty of acid go away and turns the cid into a more sinister messy as fuck kind of visual/head space.
good in a room with your mates if you wanna get far out there but if no ones looking out for you and you’re at a big party might not be a good idea.
