To do so you will need to have very strong practical chemistry skills including dealing with extremely hazardous / flammable chemicals, a lot of friends you can trust even under pressure and be prepared to risk 10-15 years plus in the can at Holloway or Styal (both with horrendous suicide rates, apparently they are way worse than blokes’ prisons)

These days you could even get busted on the environmental protection rules for just having some of the chemicals, even if you didn’t make any actual class A substances. as you said its difficult to get, and HM Revenue and Customs are worse to deal with than cops if you get in trouble….

IME the chemists get busted harder than dealers/gangsters – the establishment gets more angry when someone with brains is trying to defeat the system; theres also the paranoia that someone with that much chemistry knowledge who is prepared to break the law may also be prepared to make other more harmful things such as explosives or chemical weapons….

you could also end up with both the local firms and would be anti-drugs vigilantés leaning on you…

if as you say you’re not a hardened drug dealer, its not worth it for the stress and hassle.

if you get a good source of MDMA powder perhaps you can put it into clear capsules that are easily available from health food stores – even so your risking being done for supply rather than posession if things go pear-shaped.

binding agents are usually a mixture of chalk (calcium carbonate) and gelling agents like natrasol (sodium methoxycellulose), also used to thicken milkshakes in fast food places..

The only reason for making this would be to convert pure MDMA into more manageable end product to regulate dosage; for the same reasons in legitimate phamaceutical manufacture. if people still had to buy painkillers etc in powder form; there would be more overdoses as few people have accurate measuring equipment or vessels; anyway, who would want to carry out a chemistry lab practical just so they could relieve a headache?

TBH it is not worth having stuff like this kicking around the place unless you are dealing enough to make it worth the risk of spending time in the can as if busted it would be seen as evidence you were producing substances for purposes other than personal use.
