Oh well the link was just a relese by the organisers……..

IT WAS MANCHESTER HISTORY IN THE MAKING, AND IF YOU WERE THERE, IT REALLY IS SOMETHING TO TELL YOUR GRANDKIDS ABOUT!

    Words cant really describe it.

The vibe was so positive, everyone was looking out for each other, and there were very few problems.

The crowd was MASSIVE, and well up for it!
Over 25,000 sq ft of floor space and a huge mezzanine, Packed from wall-to-wall, and spewing out into the courtyard, all being blasted into submission by two monster soundsystems.

This wasn’t some shit nightclub. No Sir, This was a FREEPARTY!

If you have any good pictures, PLEASE GET INTOUCH.
The official photo gallery will be online soon!

We would like to thank everyone that came along and made they whole night so incredible, especially to all the people that got there so unbelievably fast! Without you guys, it would be nothing!

We would like to thank all the STEWARDS who did such a great job looking out for people!

We would like to thank THE AUTONOMADS for giving a truly epic live performance in front of such a massive crowd.
Check them out on their myspace: The Autonomads on MySpace Music – Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads

And naturally, A big shout out to all the Crew members and DJs, and all the people behind the scenes who worked so hard to make this happen!

We would like to give a MASSIVE NO THANKS! To the couple of idiots who cut the party short by throwing bottles at the Police!

After Much persuading, the Police agreed to let the party go on until 10am, as they had decided it was a nice friendly crowd, and the building was safe enough, and there wasn’t much they could do about it, without lots of people getting hurt!

The Police Officer we had been talking to tried to enter the building to confirm this with our negotiator, but had bottles thrown at him on the way in, and had to retreat!

The police then had to regroup and decided that it was a hostile crowd, and the party had to stop… one way or another.

We would also like to give a MASSIVE NO THANKS! to the Police themselves, for going against their word!

They promised that if we shut down the music early, and got the crowd out safely by a set time, then they would pull back the troops, and let both the crowd, and the soundsystems leave peacefully and uninterrupted.

    We agreed and cooperated, but instead they let everyone leave peacefully apart from the four van drivers who drove the equipment;
They were arrested on the (bullshit) charge of “Abstracting Electricity”.
They spend 12 hours in a cell. All four of them gave 40 minute “NO COMMENT” interviews and were released on bail, on sunday evening.

Four vans full of equipment were seized and towed to a police compound, All the gear unpacked, searched and photographed before being released on Tuesday.

The Van owners now have to pay at least £170 EACH to get their vans back, along with all the equipment that they kindly drove to the party for us.

We now have a £680 bill that we have to pay, on top of all the money that has been poured into this party already.
And we’re waiting to hear about possible fines and convictions for the (bullshit) “abstraction of electricity” charges.

We didn’t want to ask for donations on the night, because we felt that we didn’t need to, and would rather leave money out of it.

WE ARE NOW FORCED TO ASK FOR YOUR HELP TO GET OUR VANS AND EQUIPMENT BACK!

You can donate (whatever you can) using your paypal account, or a bank card by clicking the link below:

    THE MORAL OF THE STORY?
Don’t Give the police shit at a freeparty – But at the same time DONT TRUST THEM.
    (Read our Manifesto)

We are going to keep our heads down for a while, and have taken our ‘real’ websites offline temporally.
Don’t be offended if we ‘de-tag’ incriminating photos on facebook, and as always, be careful what you say online.

    Having said that!
GASHwireless are doing a Pirate Radio Transmission across Manchester on Friday November 6, to coincide with Guy Fawkes celebrations and The Manchester Temporary Autonomous Arts Event.

So dig out your radios, keep your ear to the ground for the transmission times and frequency, and HAVE A HOUSE PARTY ON US!
(Or keep your ear even closer to the ground and come along to The TAA event that will be going on all this weekend)

WE WOULD LIKE TO OFFICIALLY DEDICATE THE PARTY LAST WEEKEND TO THE MEMORY OF OUR GOOD FRIEND
PETER “PUNK PINGU” WILLIAMSON, WHO PASSED AWAY IN HIS SLEEP AT HIS HOME ON SUNDAY.
HE COULDN’T MAKE IT TO THE PARTY BECAUSE HE FELT ILL.
    HE WAS 27 YEARS OLD.
HE WAS A CLOSE FRIEND OF ALL THE CREW MEMBERS INVOLVED AND OUR HEARTS GO OUT TO ALL HIS FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY MANY PEOPLE.
We will be working together with his Friends and all the Manchester Punx and Squatters to organise a gig in his honor sometime in December.

I saw this pic on SJ. Looks really good.

I never hear about north parties, all the friends of rigs here are down south. I’ve only been to one 2 north parties ever.

I was there, it was fucking sweet.

Shame my mates and I left it so late to get there – we got there at around 12.30 and only had 4/5 hours of partying… but they were a damn good 4/5 hours!! raaaraaa

Sad to hear about the friend of the crews who passed away that weekend 🙁
I hope that Peter ‘Punk Pingu’ Williamson has gone to a better place where the sickest parties happen all the time and where no-one throws any bottles…
