Epilepcy is horrible thing to have.

I know that.

You can for a few, operate some part in the brain, but for some it more or less makes them zombies.

I think it only work on certain kinds of epilepsy and that’s the ones caused by overactive brain activity.

I don’t believe it works on epilepsy caused by tumores, but by all the information flourising on the internet atm, it might reduce tumors.

I don’t think you perscribe opiates for epilepcy, but I might be wrong?

Plenty of other controlled substances are prescribed for epilepsy including many benzos and even in some cases barbiturates (which are very dangerous in overdose) – although usually those with very long half lifes which discourage diversion.

In my country it does increasingly seem to result in younger patients increasingly being admitted to residential care homes 10km in the countryside (when they would rather live in town) and/or put in sheltered housing geared more towards seniors of age 80-100+ as much to comply with the controlled drugs “safety” rules as any valid medical reasons. Although some do also have other complex health issues and mobility problems those who don’t obviously look “ill” and/or have ever been out partying (like young people do, or used to..) often get accused of being junkies/scroungers and it led to the benefit cuts which got so bad one of the main politicians responsible actually quit this week (Ian Duncan Smith who is is apparently a Catholic, maybe the light of Jesus shone upon his bald head)
