The other problem is transmitting energy or anything else from where its made to where we use it – this still needs more resources. As the figures showed all the electric is going down south!
From his biography …
In Colorado Springs, where he stayed from May 1899 until 1900, Tesla made what he regarded as his most important discovery– terrestrial stationary waves. By this discovery he proved that the Earth could be used as a conductor and would be as responsive as a tuning fork to electrical vibrations of a certain frequency. He also lighted 200 lamps without wires from a distance of 25 miles( 40 kilometers)
Another exert …
Tesla’s concept of wireless electricity was used to power ocean liners, destroy warships, run industry and transportation and send communications instantaneously all over the globe. To stimulate the public’s imagination, Tesla suggested that this wireless power could even be used for interplanetary communication. If Tesla were confident to reach Mars, how much less difficult to reach Paris. Many newspapers and periodicals interviewed Tesla and described his new system for supplying wireless power to run all of the earth’s industry.
Because of a dispute between Morgan and Tesla as to the final use of the tower. Morgan withdrew his funds. The financier’s classic comment was, “If anyone can draw on the power, where do we put the meter?”
electricity itself may not have been invented as such, but methods of distributing it had to be invented and perfected over the 19th and 20th century. The big problem with Tesla coils is not a conspiracy against metering (some electricity companies, particularly in small areas of foreign nations provide unmetered supplies as it costs too much to read the meter, or the power can be metered within the device, but that standing too near them or any other large source of non-ionising electromagnetic radiation isn’t good for you (plus the storms would disrupt them even more). this radiation cooks living cells like in a microwave!
even in the early 20th century some Councils provided subsidised or even “free” electricity to their housing estates, from generators situated on Council properties.
most of Teslas other more practical ideas are still used to this day in electricity transmission and telecoms.
Getting back to the original post. These Solar Storms have fucked PV up for me.
You gotta love it that it’s only me being affected. me being the one warning the masses about said storms.

Tezzla was reserching into “Radiant energy” what could be drawn from the ground and used to power your home. If there was problems with it traveling through the air then wires could be used i’m sure.. but as far as Tezzla’s experiments went he only electricuted himself once afaik and that was because he was messing about with 3.5 million volts

at the high frequencies Tesla worked with there is less risk of electrocution (but there is the risk that you can still get cooked if the frequencies are really high like a microwave) There are a number of experiments you can do with Tesla coils which look scarey but are (fairly) safe if you know what you are doing.
Although there are various ways that electricity does “arrive from the ground”, another problem of today (which Tesla would not have had) is that unwanted interference from all our gadgets is now sent into the earth and all this interference would get into any “radiant energy” system.
I expect that with todays energy crisis, countries like Australia / NZ which have lots of space would try it if it did work, but at the moment solar panels are more efficient for the resource expended (I know an Australian dude who has done up his house with all solar panels and often his meter goes backwards and the electric company pay him!)
Even if there is no electric meter, people will still pay a fair “standing charge” for the cost of the electric infrastructure. (street lamp supplies are unmetered as the load is relatively constant, occasionally the Council will put a CCTV camera or road monitor on them but these don’t use much power)
yeah some of the tezla coil experiments are mad … have you seen the one where some one wears a chain mail suit sits ontop of a tezla coil and can shoot electrisity out of there fingures? … aparently it feels like ants crawling all over your skin … amazing!
I can understand the way you see things and your explination makes alot of sence to me … the way i see it is that we have to stop thinking along the lines of .. “this is how it is how can we improve?” … we need to think “how can we start afresh?” … like einstine said … “the true defoniton of madness is doing the same thing over and over and expecting diferant results.” (or words to them effect)
all humanity would be doing, if continuing down it’s path, is following a line that’s proven not to work time and time again … greed caused by power structures that benifit thoes in power. I know it’s just a pipe dream in many peoples heads of world peace and free things for all (sharing and the likes) … but as soon as greed is made worthless (the opposite of the ideologys that are thrust apon us every day atm with the whole “bigger is better” sociaty we live in created by people who want to sell you stuff that’s essentualy shit and means nothing but in billions of peoples head it’s more important than food! – I know studants that will eat beans and wear expensive cloathes for example) … then the power shifts …
once this space storm wipes everything out … change can happen :laugh_at:

if we did this though, we’d then use less energy and not need to keep expanding the grid. (this is exactly what the Transition Town groups are all about!). Its not an issue of technology but of human will and politics. you can get lots of power here from the North Sea (wind and tidal) but people moan about the stuff needed looking ugly…
if the storms are bad, the risk of panic worries me more. I saw a news video of where the Yanks have got the oil pissing everywhere, the mayor said that people are beating up their partners and driving like maniacs (so loads of crashes) and the po-lice (he even said the word like that) have had 200% more incidents!
On a slight tangent , I dont think I could never , ever, get bored of the saying COSMIC.
Truely a cosmic saying.
Carry on.
this lot should be able to give us advance warning raaa

bet it wont be that bad tho, prob just like that mellenium bug thing that never actually did anything! you never know tho!

the reason the millenium bug didn’t cause major problems is that the global IT industry fixed a lot of critical systems in good time, and a lot of other critical infrastructure in the 1990s wasn’t half as dependent on computers as it is today.
I don’t think these storms will destroy the world’s communication networks – however what they will do is cause power cuts and localised disruptions. The economic effects (companies not being able to do business or collect money owed to them) will add further to the global economic depression.
