  • I really meant specific examples of these symptoms from coke or speed, from experience, or as you say the internet. I have read a lot also, and it seems to be a purely seretonin based side effect.

I know this is annoying, i am a bit annoyed myself. But tell me the truth please, or i’ll lose faith in this website.

PS I’m only annoyed because there are fireworks going off in my head. And outside, coincidentally. It being November the 5th and all.

Serotonin syndrome is ‘normally’ only induced by serotonin antagonists or uptake inhibitors, that is true.

Let me ask you this: If you buy speed or coke on the street (as it were) how do you KNOW, that what you are getting is speed or coke?

You don’t and it usually isn’t (especially nowadays with the prevalence of so many analogues and other similar chems).

So yes, I have seen and heard of people getting these symptoms from “speed” and “coke”. Maybe if you were to get your coke straight from Bolivia or your speed straight from the chemist you would be less likely to get these symptoms but even then it is still possible.

Righto you naughty boy, much love but you didn’t give any examples. I’ll take your word for it,you are alright, and I like to get high baisically, which is why im on this site in the first place. Fuck if im going to set out with a mission – do em, get it right, beat them at their own game, catch them out, nope. not my cuppa tea. you all seem great and so fuck the lot of you’s, I’d rather just talk.

In a good way. I want to hear about the symptoms I have, brain zaps, and related stuff.

I’m sorry if I am misunderstanding but what specifically would you like to know?

I’d like to know, has anyone else had the same symptoms. Brain zaps or similar.

Hmm, now I’m confused and perturbed

You need to be way more specific. There is no way that I would have the time or the inclination to impart everything that I have learned in all of my years of experience.

If there is a particular question that you would like answered I would be happy to try to help.

Do you know of these side effects ( “brain zaps, pulses”) as a consequence of taking either Coke (cocaine) or speed?

“No” Is a perfectly acceptable answer.

I believe that I have already answered this! in post #18.

    Yes!

    Yes!

no not at all. you did not answer it . Why should anyone simply take your word for it? you just said something like –

“Oh, the internet said all stimulants cause these effects. I’ve looked. And you should trust me, because I’ve been moderating a website”.

I am holding out hope that someone else will say something sensible, because you Chris, while initially saying good things,

    Thankyou for your input, bry

Please, if you are going to respond to this, either say sorry, or explain exactly how you answered it… see top of email and quote from you.

    Quoted directly from post #18

Why ask the question if you don’t want to take my word for it?

Also I have never claimed to be a moderator.

I find you to be deliberately antagonistic towards someone who is doing their best to help you so: Sir, I bid you good day!

I hope you find someone who will jump through all of the little hoops that you have set up.

I’ve never heard of serotonin syndrome lol, i just looked it up now. That’s shit luck bryan, that’d suck!
Yeah our mate did recover from the heart attack luckily..
Maybe I had got ‘brain-zap’ the time I took L-trypto???
Glad to hear you’re doing well with it!
and yeah a simple explanation about serotonin while on speed is, your body has a certain amount of serotonin stored in its membrane which gets naturally released in small timely doses to get you through the day (energy)
When you take speed it acts as a receptor and sucks out all your serotonin from its membrane and releases it in you in the one go ‘ boom’ ! And that is how somebody can burn themself out… Really not a very intellectual explanation but i hope it at least makes sense!
Also serotonin release makes you wanna take a dump as it goes through the bowels! So some people find they like to take a big shit 30 minutes after taking a certain drug.
And serotonin is also a part of the central nervous system so with its release it causes the jumpy and twitchy movements you often see with people on speed! 🙂

i wasn’t trying to set you up Chris, or antagonise, I just wanted to hear an example of someone who has actually had the same symptoms from speed or coke. Saying it in big text doesn’t change the fact that it isn’t backed up with any examples, and yes I take your word for it, but maybe your experience is telling you that symptoms like these are possible on other drugs..? Intuition can be wrong. It’s fine tho, you have helped a lot the last few days and any bad feeling is only because written communication causes misunderstanding, and i come across as a smartarse because I spell everything out when I write. I’m not upset, quite the opposite, i’m glad i came on here.

I think i may be wrong for this site, but thanks for listening, and thanks for the advice, it helped a lot because basically I feel dumb about putting myself in this position and I haven’t told my family. I was worried at one point that I’d be getting these effects for ever! Still am a bit, as they are still there at 5 on Wednesday morning.

Thanks Chris, and korno, I’ll avoid speed i recon 🙂 (and probably RCs too..) I’m glad your mate is ok. Didn’t get any effect from the Trypto btw.

I don’t use intuition. I clearly said that yes, I have seen and heard of this happening before.

In fact, fairly recently a friend bought some “coke” from a bloke who usually only sells weed and wouldn’t know good coke if it slapped him in the face. This “stuff” caused similar symptoms to what you described (and lasted unusually long for what was supposed to be coke).

I still don’t understand why you are obsessed with examples. People on here are pretty honest and open (as you will discover if you stick around).

If I were to ask you if you had ever skateboarded, I wouldn’t need an example to back it up. A simple yes or know would suffice. If you had been a skater for many years then examples would be completely irrelevant as you could just say “yeah, I’ve been skating for many years” and I would have no reason to doubt you.

Also swearing randomly and completely out of context makes it appear that you are merely craving attention.

Maybe you are one of those people who are not entirely honest on the internet and so you think that everyone else on the net is the same (it’s called transference). You should learn to trust people until you have some kind of genuine reason to doubt them. It’s not like I’m gonna make myself look like a twat in front of all my PV buddies just to wind you up.
