Fellow omnivores, out of interest, would you eat a dolphin or a chimp? Is there any threshold of intelligence at which you think it’s not ok to eat the creature?

Im just saying that your not looking at what your doing, its not about taste or if your eating eyeballs or not, its they care about each other, cows look after their young the same as people do, they fear death and suffering like we do. On another thread poly says about when he’d kill ants as a kid and you said, ye were like that when were young. Society thought us that was wrong so as we grow up we see its wrong. But were thought meat is healthy and the inhumanity is hidden from us, if they get a diseased foot, the vet cuts it off so they can last till they make the slauterhouse. You’s say you’d eat a dolphin, yet not kill an ant, have you seen how they kill dolphins, the inteligents of dolphins? You dont really mean what you say. This is not a high horse perspective, as i am sure their are vegetarians on here who cringe when i open my mouth about this, i like the smell of frying bacon, of stew boiling in herbs, and if i had to cook for you’s, i’d probably do a better job than you brain dead, drug addled permiscues fickers could ever pull off

Scientists reckon they’ll be able to have a dialogue with dolphins in the next 20 years or so, getting closer to cracking their language. If we manage to converse with dolphins would you still eat one?

Also would you eat a chimp if you knew they tasted like chicken? If so would you eat a neanderthal if they were still alive today?

What I’m getting at is, where do you draw your line? Will you eat anything that is not technically the same species as you?
