I thought we could see how this one ran – the poll is anonymous and multiple choice 😉
what poll?
I think Raj is still working on it (or it hasn’t posted) – its not a tactic to make us think we are all suffering memory loss from our lifestyles :laugh_at:
Well that was depressing…
Do I get a prize?
My thanks 😉 ?
I could have used another 10 options to be honest – still have a load more questions in my head…
good poll really, feel i can be open about my awnsers it being anon. though mental illness is no fun really….feel for anyone undergoing the same struggle…not easy talking about it face to face, especially as i suffered with anorexia & bulimia..stereotypically considered to be more prevalent amongst females..as a guy had to keep it close to myself..glad to say psychotherapy has helped more so than the ”legal” drugs they give me…though miratazapine has its perks…i.e trippy dreaming.
i dont have bulimia but i have incredibly bad ocd and have been commiteed on multiple occosians. i find recreational drugs help if not only for a few houres its a nice break!!

In fairness it is far more common in female population its not just a stereotype

true man…but still not less harmful…it sounds cliche but mental illness doesn’t gender discriminate.
i thought i was gonna tick em all after about number 4 then i pretty much ticked none of the mental health ones… i did click the continuing to use cos it gives negative effects though.

So, does clicking a box constitute a ‘yes’ to the question?
yep!
Ah ok, I’ve given my answers.
‘Do you still take drugs despite negative effects on your mental health?‘
This one is complicated for me. Pills do involve a harsh comedown at times, but I think you need to decide if the high is worth the low. For me, it always has been. I can reason it out by confirming that it’s a low that has come from the drug and is physiological, rather than depression from some deeper, less fixable place. I ride it out by reminding myself of this fact. I know a lot of people who’ve had to stop taking pills after going to excess with them and experiencing an incredibly brutal ‘culminative’ comedown that felt like death. I only ever do one per rave and don’t do it every weekend, to avoid this potential issue. I love beans so much – I don’t want to mess them up for myself by treating them like sweets. A friend of mine who gave pills up because they were too detrimental to his health and he found himself having to do 6-8 per rave is now into NOS and Ket. Although they have less consequences in terms of mental health issues for him, the highs don’t last long, they rinse his wallet and he always wants to go home by about 06:30. Not great.
