I tried MXE a few times, first time because I was curious as to how different it would be from ketamine and the second time because the ketamine drought finally hit properly (which for me was early september, I had the luck of knowing this person who had a huge stash of ketamine but very few buyers, so he didn’t run out until autumn, but when he did it was like ‘aw shit :(‘ luckely drought only lasted about two weeks from then on, which in way was good anyway because it got rid of my august-festivals-tolerance :p)
Either way I never really liked MXE much, the dissociation isn’t nearly as good as with ketamine, it’s not as.. buzzing, it lacks the buzz that other dissociatives have (like nitrous oxide’s buzzing, hmmm) and the CEV’s and distortion isn’t as good either. The thought alteration is good though, I get the same very free, bizarre, absurdistic and insane associations making for good creativity and fun conversations. I found MXE a bit to be as if it were three drugs in one; there’s the dissociation which is dissociative, but no where near as nice as ketamine or even nitrous, and then there’s the stimulating side which is really quite prominent in a way, probably giving the feelig it’s more ‘clear’ to people and then there’s a sort of contentness to it making it sort of relaxing, not just in a dissociative way as well.
Still I find it to be ‘almost but not quite’; the buzz isn’t good, if I take 50 mg I still get a less good buzz then 50 mg of ketamine would give me, which makes it rather obsolete to me. The long duration is nice though.
