im so annoyed, 6 months ago i purrchased a xbox 360 and now it wont turn on and just has 3 flashing red lights on the ring, Apparently this is called the ring of death and hundreds of ppls machines have been dpoing this, how can microsoft get away with selling ppl machines that are gonna break down, its just not fucking cricket. so now i have 3 choices, take it apart my self, buy another one!, or try and go to their buildings in reading and protest, anyone got any other ideas, this has made me furious!

isn’t it still under warrantY? no different from the IPODs which had faulty batteries, various exploding Japanese laptops, mobile phones with bug-ridden software

all electronics firms are like that

customers always get used as unpaid testers for new products, which often contain design faults.

I used to work for a company which put together TV studios and outside broadcast vans, customers would pay hundreds of thousands of pounds for some of the kit and it still had design faults, and this is from all the top manufacturers of high tech equipment.

None of them (including my employers, who nearly went bust at one point) could get it “right first time”.

This is why i try to avoid buying th latest stuff as the first couple of batches always seem to have faults…….

Only 6 months of use it shouldnt do that! I would be gettin on to the shop where you bought it to see what can be done. Ent there sum sort of 12 month garantee/warranty???

If Not then i would be writing a polite letter to microsoft makin a very big complaint, maybe requesting a replacement!

haha yeh but my ipod can go anywhere with me and enjoy the sunshine too! and its not costing me 65 to fix it, that was just the money spent on cd’s to feed the big black hole that is not having an ipod… im sure it will cost me much more than 65 to fix!

i rang up microsoft, and they said they would do it fix it for free, not looking forward to getting it replaced 4 more times tho, might just sell it, and buy a pc, rach i dont think u understand boys and computers games,(Im sure ill get an up roar from like 60 billion girls who play computer games now)

very true … their walkman made me go insane, although a great player not being able to go through media player was a bugger and the importing/exporting of tracks was enough to make you purple.

my dad and his work lot all use sony laptops and have never had a problem, unlike every dell i have ever been near … products aimed at different people and price ranges i guess …

my friend works in the offices close to Reading, a big part of sony in the U.K. i think and he said buying a product when its just been released can be disastrous …

ps3 … took ages and ive had mates complaining and getting them changed … i would of thought the 360 would have sorted itself out by now though (the amount of people having to get them changed is crazy) …

i used to love playing on monkey island, old school classic, did anyone else play that…. just me?
