lol! :laugh_at:dont think al bother with it then!

when i bought my comp from comet microsoft didnt come with it even tho they said it did (cheeky bastards!) you do get a 30 day trial for all the good that is. Vista is a bit of a pain cause some programs aren’t compatible with it, like my g/f’s camera phones software!

(its pretty easy to get hold of a cracked version of office if you know where to look 😉

Windows be it XP or Vista doesn’t come with Word, like someone said word is part of the Microsoft office package that has powerpoint and excel and few other bits in it..

The only way you may get it with XP or Vista would be if you were buying a pc from somewhere that gave you a software bundle but it is still a separate software package to the operating system

the best thing is to get openoffice which is open source and free. It has writer, which is almost the same as word and you can save in word format and open all word docs.
        get it here http://www.openoffice.org

Vista is a real pain and very much corporate, go for free open source operating system like ubuntu http://www.ubuntu.com/

Open office is great – I tried it a few years ago and dumped MS office programs at home and wherever else possible :weee:

I agree openoffice is fantastic.. i’m all up for opensource stuff..

And its very good for opening other formats and saving in compatible formats too as well as the nifty save as pdf feature which I find invaluable raaa
