Think being in love where things are complicated (don’t live in the same country yet) can trigger depression too :hopeless:
this is how I feel at the moment-
– Disturbed sleep, usually waking early and being unable to get back to sleep
– Tearfulness for no reason
– Short temper
– Lack of energy and constant exhaustion
– Lack of concentration
– Feelings of hopelessness and despair
– Unrealistic sense of failure
– Loneliness, even when around others
– Loss of appetite and resulting loss of weight
– Variation of mood during the day. It’s often worse in the morning, improving as the day goes on – but the pattern can be the other way around.
People tell me it’s normal feeling like this when in love..
Well if that’s true, I don’t like it at all :hopeless:
I had a lot of those symptoms a While back, especially the

I went to the doctors about a month ago and he told me I was depressed, Seemed strange because we couldn’t work out a reason for me to be depressed.
Anyways, Apparently there dosen’t need to be a particular reason and he sorted me out some pills (citalopram)
So I’ve been taking 1 a day for about a month and they now seem to be working, they took about 3 weeks brfore I noticed a difference but I deffo feel a lot better.
I went for that job in austria which I don’t think I’d of even thought about doing a couple of months back.
And I just feel a lot more posative about everything.
If you do think Your depressed Go down to your doctors and they Know there shit and have help’d me loads

Yoga is a way of life, an art of righteous living or an integrated system for the benefit of the body, mind and inner spirit. This art originated, was perfected and practiced in India thousands of years ago. The references to yoga are available in ‘Upanishads’ and ‘Puranas’ composed by Indian Aryans in the later Vedic and post- Vedic period. The main credit for systematizing yoga goes to Patanjali who wrote ‘Yoga Sutra’, two thousand Years ago. He described the principles of the full eight fold yogic discipline. He composed the treatise in brief code words known as ‘Sutras’. ‘Yoga Sutra’ is the most important basic text on Yoga. It is through this basic treatise that the essential message of yoga spread throughout the world.
I think any form of exercise is a good idea for ‘winter blues’. Its good for seratonin levels and always makes me feel a bit better when I’ve been for a swim or even just a long walk.
I try and put off going to the doctors for that sort of thing unless I really have a problem because I prefer not to take medication for this sort of thing.
mid winter blues/depression….i have this most of the time
I think everyone in the north where the sun goes down before you get off work, it’s almost impossible not to have a little bout of depression. The body needs vitamin D just like reptiles do (although not as bad of course!) bu when you lack sunlight, you get a little blue. It happens every year. get a SAD light, my mom has one and they really work.
^^ what fuzzy pear said.
You can get special lighting or lamps that give off simila lite to the sun in miniture does.
you can have electrodes inserted 10cms into your brain which are wired to circuits put in your chest that cure depression instantly. i saw a show about it and it looked creepy 😐
you can allso get a pill what fucks ur head up but i wouldn’t advise that
that sounds horrific surely as its all in your head anyway you can use your head to get out of it.. i mean ive been depressed before i would never want to take anti depressents or anything i guess different stuff works for different people im thankful ive never needed to rely on that stuff!

ECT? They tried to get me to have that. :hopeless:
nooo.. it’s not ECT (although ect is also pretty creepy).. they insert a long electrode into your brain (about 10 cms in) while you’re fully conscious and they leave it in there, then wire it to a control in your chest and it just stays in there. it’s turned a few lives around apparently but i think it sounds terrifying.
