Hard to say if you’ve reached an evolutionary dead end because we don’t know what mutations/changes could occur that would be desireable mating characteristics.
But we’ve certainly removed a lot of the selection pressures that other species are subjectd to, thanks to the fact that instead of adapting to our environment, we adapt our environment to us.
