So after deciding im gonna go here with a few friends and some Mtv, just looking for peoples opinions on the place
Iv read some reviews complaining security is really tight? Is it really anymore tight than any other club?
Good advice to buy tickets prior to the night? i assume yes
Thanks guys
Hey, I’m going over to London from Dublin myself on the 8th February, so would appreciate a dig out too.
I’m 30, so I’m more into classic trance, but I know very very few places play the ‘old school’ stuff these days.

Security is about the same in most EU clubs, you might get one or two pills in but there are random and robust searches, the days of them turning a blind eye to widespread drug use went out the window following the dotcom crash.
although there are occasionally trance nights in London they seem to be more common in the North of England these days especially Leeds / Manchester
I would sign up to The Leading Trance Portal – TranceSound.net for the events listings – also if the event has any of the big names like Armin, W&W etc then it may be worth buying the tickets in advance as they sell out very quickly…

Ok well they can’t strip search without consent can they?
Get what your saying about not turning a blind eye, but when iv been fabric there are people out their nut everywhere and security ain’t kicking em out, is this not the case in MoS then?
usually only the cops who do stripsearches (not sure if a SIA level exists which permits private guards to do this, maybe it does but must need extra training) and whilst personal drug use is usually ignored, they are looking out for small time dealers (many of whom are party folk) and even people sharing personal amount in clubs. Also every so often metpol forces these clubs to clamp down hard.
Even if a club has more “tolerant” security its never a good thing to mention it on a club/rave forum. Cops, security guards and their management read here too, and its a business after all in a bad economy where they don’t want extra hassle..
Cheers all,
Have signed up for that newsletter and will keep checking that site, thanks GL.
I don’t really know anybody in London at all (except my mate, and he’s a jazz musician) so I have no way of even getting mdma or pills (I know club etiquette and although I’d pass for 27…ahem…I still know the score that you don’t go swanning around asking peeps if they have any pills for sale) so I’ll just get some of the generic herbal yokeymajiggers (sigh)
I’m going the Ministry on the 8th February and it looks like it’s a House night. So I’ll give that a bash…

I take your point. Think im just really para as i read a thread elsewhere that MoS actually search inside your boxers (i couldnt believe this! but seems its commonly known)
they’re not searching for your stash but if u wave it in the air they will take it from you and berate u for it… end of. this isn’t your 1st thread like this. just go out, have fun. dont make another thread like this unless its telling us how it went

yeah it’s okay. Expect to pay £4 for a beer and as GL said “robust searches” There will be dealers inside but there is a 50/50 chance of getting scammed or set up by the security (the second you make the buy you will get set upon by the security) They will for sure look in tour shoes, bags and hoods etc. I always found the best way to get baggies inside is too (ideal for men) wear boxers with buttons on them, make a hole in the bag small enough to safely attach the baggie to the button on your boxers and strol in like you have noting on you. It is obviously simalr to stuffing it down your trousers but for me who wear loose fitting clothes there is always a risk of it falling down the trouser leg. This can be made worse while the security are doing there rub down on you cos they are intentionally trying to shake out any loose items. Anyway as you know they are not allowed to search bellow the belt or about a certain point up your inner thigh. Not sure what the exact law is but they cannot touch your privates. With girls it is easier to get bags in safely tucked down your pants cos girls tend to wear tighter fitting clothes…….. (I’ve gone all hot:lol_teeth)
Expect good music and a pretty friendly vibe, but you will get some arseholes there so try and stay with your buddys and don’t stand in the middle of the crowded dancefloor with your phone stretched in the air taking pics. Chaves look for people like that as easy targets to snatch out your hand.
Have fun and welocme to partyvibe.

Mate, if you wanna ask a question, please ask away. It is one of the true purposes of this community is to share knowledge in the party/rave scene. Have you considrred heading to club 414?? If you love your techno and trance then that is the place to be. It wont be playing the same type of trance as MOS though. It will be ‘ard and ‘evey
Where’s Club 414 brother? I don’t know London too well, and am headed over in two weeks
