Even if he does become president, there’s a limit to how much he can piss off foreigners with atom bombs or large groups of angry people with smaller weapons or even his own people before he’s either voted out or something less pleasant occurs.

The USA its physically large, contains states / regions the size of some European countries with bitterly divided views and the office of president is less relevant than in a smaller country. Bear in mind though my generation lived through that idiot Reagan being in power and not all the world got blown up, though I wouldn’t rule out more civil conflict in the USA (which is also more common than most people realise). There’s actually a lot of liberals in the USA. Some are still a bit on the “disneyland style positive thinking” tip but there are others as clued up as the progressive folk in Europe..

TBH I think they will be mildly annoyed at the privacy/security breach (as we would, if a right wing type or got into one of our house parties and shared a video without permission) but romney won’t actually care. US politics is more like civil war if anything, I can understand precisely why many Americans (even liberals) feel that they need to have a pistol or other firearm to hand to protect themselves. The country really is as unstable as that.

I stopped voting years ago, US, UK, and many other countries it really dont make any difference to the average person what political party wins, the terms they serve are to short to make major changes, if they try to make major changes all you see in the first term is the expense as the benefits of major changes take longer to be reaped so they rarely get a 2nd term to complete said changes, and big corporations have the resources to bring down any government that challenges them.

Politics is a dirty game. It’s not as dirty as actual war, which I think was stated as “politics by other means”.

I think it is much healthier to have respect and confidence for yourself rather than politicians. Some are worse than others, but the definition of an “honest” politician is … “A politician that stays bought.”

K caught some interviews on the news earlier, like I said Im not a US citizens so cant vote and wouldnt even it I could, but seeing this Romney guy talking complete shit and posing like some cartoon caricature version of nutty leader makes me really hope the other one, erm anorak bomber or whatever his name is wins it.

Also said on the news they spend 2 Billion on campaigning !!!! Not sure if thats British billions or US Billions ( of course yanks cant do math ) but either way thats obscene and both candidates should be shot for pissing away so much money.

Oh one more thing, seen a few speeches and interview clips and not one of them had any policies or plans in them, no detail at all just sickening cliche BS, where the hells a lone gunman when you need one
