yeah it’s a bit messed up how it only can take a few people to overide the majority in situations like that … eg. at work this one woman phones in every day complaining that the delivery driver comes too early and it wakes her up …. he is suposed to deliver no earlyer than 7am .. once he turned up at 6.50 and she was strait on the phone complaining .. now i know it’s not nice to be woken up .. but we have to keep to our scedual .. the driver has many more drops after this one and has a time limit .. he can’t go back and forth from one drop to another as it will take forever .. so he fits this drop off best he can .. now 6.50 is pretty f’in close to 7 … but she will still threaten to phone the counsil and get the pub we are delivering to to not acsept deliverys till after 7 .. ect. ect. and has disrupted so many other peoples lives .. for one i have to spend at least 10 minits (the same amount of time she gets woken up early) deiling with her on the phone being reasuring and understanding … and the transport manager has to compleatly re arange the run that drop is on and normaly this means the driver does it on his way back rather than on his way out .. so the delviery will be around midday .. this puts the pub out ..
for the sake of ten minits sleep .. she has disrupted loads of peoples lives ..
same goes for raves if only one or two houses can hear noise .. alltho it’s blatently not fair .. it’s a one of event like the people in the houses might stay up till 3-4 am on nye … it’s silly in a democratic sociaty .. that if 1-2 people complain they stop 100+ people having a great time .. if it was true decmocrasy .. all people presant should have a vote .. and the results are clear .. now crews that rince the same place anoying people every weekend are taking the piss a bit .. as no matter how much you like loud music .. if once a week you nabour started banging about on the drums all night .. you would be pissed off .. it only really applys when it truely is a one off thing .. or not every bloody week n e way .. it’s when systems are rincing places and being inconsiderate all over the uk that people of diferant areas all form the same opinion … and then after time .. po become more aware of the partys just cos they are hearing about them from complains of people who just think fuck it .. this piece of grass will do … if it’s close to houses .. don’t bring a 3 hunderad foot high rig .. just get a nice small stack that does the job and minimalise the “colateral” damage .. i went to a psy squat in brixton a while ago .. and it was a pub next to a load of houses and a housing estate .. and they made it so you couldn’t hear it outside at all … and the atendees were relatively quite coming and going also .. (not that that matters too much in brixton n e ways as the place is still mostly alive at night ) but they were there for weeks upon weeks
and i belive they still have there system in tackt .. i never once saw a police man there .. alltho it’s rarer to see police at squats than fields unless they are multiriggers in publicly vieable or residential areas .. i been too massive partys where you can hear the music for like half a mile or more down every street you go down it’s that loud it reverberates off the buildings and gets channeled down roads (this makes for a really tought time finding the place) but no police the whole time .. cos it was miles away from anyone who would care ..not only did that little bit of extra effort mean you didn’t disterb anyone’s night sleep …. you also have a party that can run it’s corse and close when you decide it to be finished … and surely the main reason you are there is to party .. not fight teh babilon .. if you wanna do that .. it would be cheeper to go be a football thug or something .. you can kick the fuck out of people and not loose £1000’s of pounds of music equipment … makes sence to me to put a little bit of extra effort in b4.. to save a load of extra effort and hasstle later on …
alltho it’s probably too late for the near futcher in alot of places in england .. but as i hear people say all the time in a round a bout way … are you there for the agro ? or the party? .. it must be the party so do what you can to preserve it .. be smart .. have some decorum and respect innit .. 😉
