ok so if anybody is wondering:

some companies do not perform urine tests anymore obviously…not every company is the same or requires the same amount of work. so here’s what you have to and don’t have to worry about if u get the swab.

-mary jane is only detectable in your saliva for about 12 hours and that’s the max
-alcohol is only detected if you drank literally 5-6 hours before your test and if you’re that dumb, God help u
-cocaine is detectable for about 3-4 days after your last smoke/blow
-meth including ADHD drugs is detectable for a week after your last smoke/blow

i know all of this because i had one done and did some research beforehand

so don’t always assume it’s a urine test is the best thought and not using before trying for a job is the best policy obviously but i hope this helps

I have an incredibly hard time believing those timescales and in fact mouth swabs are used in some states where marijuana is legal and that can show it’s been present up to 72 hours, making it pretty useless for testing for drug driving.

Tell the dirty bastards to fuck of, no one will be doing a swab or piss test on me unless it’s the police, you go to work do your job and its fuck all the do with them what you do out of work hours

testing in England and Wales does happen for safety or business critical jobs (including IT jobs in London) but often only following serious incidents – outside of places like railways/other land transport/oil rigs/steel work and the maritime industries it is very unusual.

The amount of extra work required to deploy accurate testing methods that do not risk disqualifying or alienating potentially valuable staff added to the requirement to still comply with European human rights make introducing such régimes pointless.

Even if the UK left the EU tomorrow it wouldn’t make it easy for companies to deploy harsher tests for anyone who is skilled enough to work elsewhere in the continent as many would do just that.

yes this true. i am an american and no, we don’t have any rights when it comes to failing a drug test for a job as simple as a cashier. so yes, welcome to america where everyone thinks they still have rights but our president is a socialist wearing a liberal disguise.
