google your soundcard manufacturers website and download the latest driver and install it.
you can find your soundcard info by right clicking on the ‘my computer’ icon then click ‘manage’ then click ‘device manager’ on the list then look on the ‘sound, video and game controllers’ list for your card name. if there is an entry with a yellow question mark or ‘unknown’ next to it then thats probably the card thats not working. double click it and look through the window that pops up for the manufacturer

Sweet my laptop is working properly again!raaa
just about anything with computers i can help out with, comes from following various hacker forums and tweaking my own.
glad to hear its all fixed.
I would suggest that you get Acronis True Image
This creates a complete backup of your PC or laptop.
I use this, so that if anything goes wrong – you can simply re-install the last clean working image you have saved. I usually create a backup image once a month.
And I’d also suggest turning OFF system restore as it’s rubbish and just uses up disk space – and Trojans / viruses normally reside there, so even if you find them on your C:/ drive and delete them – they can reappear.
