  • Will MXE (Methoextamine) test positve on a drug test 8 days after a single use? I heard it could give a false positive for PCP

Methoxetamine contains parts of chems like PCE which are related to PCP so yes, It may show up, but im no expert.

But its an analogue and structurally like ketamine. Ketamine’s detection time is 2-4 days in urine. besides pcp is 3-7 days in urine for single use. (eworid.org) does this change anything?

I dont know what sort of ‘drug strips’ (ie – the instant testers that are put into your urine and read after 3-5 mins) they use in Aus – as thats where you say you are.
In the uk the main strips only have
    cocaine
    opiates – all types
    amphet
    benzos – all types
methadone / or the processed form of meth – (dependent on how much money they wanna pay as the ‘through the body synthesis’ tester much more expensive)
some have / some dont cannabis / THC

I’ve not seen one’s with what you are asking

now the path lab urine and blood tests are much more different and much more detailed…
most substance are out of your body within 72 – hours, THC attaches to fat cells and esp regular / heavy use can take 3+ months to stop showing, and benzos can take a good while if using daily for long time

not sure if this helps as us in the UK may be very different

Its a lab test that will look for Phencyclidine (pcp)

i think it’s highly probable it will test positive, only one way to find out though.

But what about the detection times? wouldnt you think itll be out with those?

there isn’t any way to be sure, other than for someone to take the stuff and test themselves with exactly the same kit the people testing you are using!

TBH in this sort of situation the only solution is to make a hard decision whether you want to risk it with drug use or seize whatever opportunity (employment/travel?) requires the drug testing and if it is a regular thing to cease drug use – otherwise leading the double life and attendant paranoia will be bad for your mental health in the long run.

yea i got that now. not necessary

The harsh facts are with the current laws if any organisation thinks drug testing is necessary they have every right to do so. if you cannot avoid the organisation which has the drugs tests (or they are your employer!) there is no good news here, you have to make the decision between drugs or your career or other opportunity. Whilst if the tests are at regular intervals you can use the half life info to avoid detection, eventually the testers will cotton on to this risk and carry them out at random times.

There are jobs I would have liked to have done in the past but could not because of the drug testing régime of these employers, even though we in the UK are more liberal than other nations. And to be fair I can understand why many organisations drug test people in safety-critical or business-critical rôles – in my country its only done after incidents have happened (for instance it was only introduced on the railway network after a driver who was a cannabis user caused a crash in which many were hurt or killed).

    once again not necessary

    ??????!!!!!!!

Alright lets try another approach: would anybody know if mxe is water or fat soluble?

You say you are a pilot (and TBH your screen name which reads like an aircraft callsign hints at having some interest in aviation). its not necessary to have pilots who abuse drugs when the world’s aviation authorities want to keep the skies safe. bad enough with all the war/terrorism without people being up in the skies suffering from the effects of drugs, in the same way every nation has laws against driving a motor car when high. Whether you are a civil or military pilot, others lives and safety are in your hands.

Even if you actually do something else for a living, I stand by my views that drug testing has very often been introduced because of previous negative incidents caused by drug users – it is actually expensive to do, not 100% reliable, and reduces employee morale.

but just because people on here have liberal views on drugs, doesn’t mean we are completely without morals. I personally am not going to encourage someone to try and buck the system when it appears this drugs testing has occured for a good reason. However if you think the testing is wrong or unjust (it would be in something like a basic office admin job) use your existing political channels to protest against it – or vote with your feet and get another occupation where drug testing isn’t carried out.

Whether the stuff is water or fat soluble is irrelevant – any advice we could give you to beat the test will only work on a temporary basis. even if you beat the test a few times authorities worldwide read this site too as well as anti-drugs campaigners. They will report back to the relevant people in your country and they will be more likely to introduce random tests at random intervals and improve testing methods so using the half life process will be no good.

Either take the risk of losing your career and if it happens accept that its not a “false positive”, its the drugs test doing what it should do, albeit on a different substance, (a false positive would be something like legit cold medication or poppy seeds triggering the test) or get another one with more freedom and less risk to others.

everything in my info is bs. i dont even live in australia. i just made this stupid account to ask this question
