i did a search for it on the web the other night but came up with nothing .. just a few regastry cleaners .. (and i think they were fake ones as well as they had some reviwes on them about them fucking up your comp .. so don’t dl them if you search for it online) … mby try and get a well know regastry cleaner with good reviws .. not sure if that will help as i said b4 blue screen is normaly hardware .. but it might help

my old ‘puter used to get the blue screen of death quite often then it started randomly switching itself off, pretty annoying really.

well to be fair this computer is a good 5+ years old. might be gettin on abit, gettin fragile, ive had to upgrade the power supply and hard drive a few times since ive had it!

Ok, on that screenie, show me the log for the entry named event ID 1001. It has the source “Save Dump”. That should give the details of your blue screen. Also the System error one, above the one you screenied.

    here ya go bud.

if it gets blue screen then turns off .. something is over heating .. probably the prosesser or gfx card … mby try and open you comp clean out your heat synk and fan of fluff and dust … even if you not got probs with your comp if you had it for a year or so it will run so much faster if you clean all that out … also the heatsynk/fan on your gfx card …

it also seems odd that you have to replace PSU’s regularly -at work we have a variety of machines some over 5 years old and they still keep running

either the PSU isn’t the correct rating or EDF are delivering crap quality electricity to your building (a common problem in East Anglia and some areas of London)

my comp is about 5-6 years old .. was top of the range back then .. and the psu is buggered on this one … it starts fucking up alot in hot weather as the prosser over heats more .. if you get liqued cooling the life of your prosseser is gonna be a hell of alot longer

My old shitty dell stock PSU lasted agood 5 years with heavy use. I usually leave my PC on 24/7 more or less.

A PSU is the most overlooked component when building a PC! Those £20 shitty high Watt ones are always crap. Infact, they can be really ineffcient, and waste alot of energy through heat, and give you alot less Wattage than what it says on the box.

Sending you a PM by the way hyperskunk 😉

@ hyperskunk try downloading and installing the latest version of CCleaner and run it – it will clear all your temp files.
After you have done that a few times and its not removing anything anymore then go to the Registry button and scan it for issues. It will offer you an option to fix the issues – back it up before you do. This may take a few goes before you have cleared them all.

Restart the pc and see what it does then. 😉

much appriciated for the help every1, dont worry Dom i got youre PM!!!!!

i’ll give it a go 2morro n see if anything happens.

btw about my ram…………….i did upgrade my pc from 512mb to a GB, but could i of may a mistake buyin cheap value ram?!
