  • Good to hear man, just keep moving forward, but don’t beat your self up if you slip up, just dust your self off and pick your self up and carry on, don’t use that as an excuse to slip up though.

Cheers man. I was hoping to be dry but I guess it takes longer than I though. Not having to work didn’t help either.

    Still, onwards and upwards.

Yeah man, sometimes these things take a while, but as long as you’re going in the right direction it’s all good.

Found a 45 min documentary on Northern Vs Southern Praying mantis Kung Fu. This has kept me occupied for well over an hour now, training!

Yeah I watched that earlier as it goes, pretty decent documentary.

Gah, first day back at work and I have the sweats bigtime! I have to wear a shirt. This cannot be good.

Can you book a few days off to get sober in? Just an idea … don’t stop trying if you can’t!

That’s a bad idea. I find it harder to remain sober when I am not working. Here come the sweats again. I’m gonna try drinking very little later. Just enough to keep the shakes away.

OK, I have not had an alcoholic drink all day. I’m going to leave it until the very last minute to have one if needed (ie I start to get tremors or hallucinations or both). I’m gonna only dose when my body is telling me that I am needing it. I already have the sweats and feel like crap (which is why I didn’t go to Kung Fu and I did an hour’s overtime at work instead) but it’s currently bearable.

Hopefully I’ll soon be off this shit.

    Let’s see what happens.

I hope people are taking note here about not letting alcohol become a problem. Getting off it is hard and potentially dangerous.

Due to it’s damaging nature, it’s physical addiction and the fact that it’s SO easy and cheap to obtain. I would deem alcohol to be the most dangerous (popularly used) drug!

I mirror everything you said in that last post.

It’s 21:47 and so far I have only had two small drinks (not downed either).

I feel pretty hot and crappy and have aches in my head, arms, and legs. It’s been a while since my last drink though.

I’m starting to get all achey, over heated and shit as well, not drank in just over a week.

    A week is great mate!

Last night didn’t go well. I had less than half of my usual intake and then went to sleep. Mild DT’s all night. Had to keep waking up every couple of hours for sips (cos I didn’t want to wake up drunk and go to work).

Now I look like an extra from a George A Romero movie!

    Work will be fun today!

At least my levels are coming down.

A week to start wanting to drink is too soon for me, It’s normally 2-3 weeks. It was just a blip though, after that evening I was fine.
