It doesn’t help that my home-life is very stressful at the moment. It’s way to complicated to go into details but (apart from jobwise) I’m not in THAT much of a better situation than when I was living in a cupboard in a shop.
I think I’m really beginning to get quite depressed at the moment. I’ve been through so many situations for so long that I just want some stability.
How’s it going Chrispy bro?
At around 21 days of clean time off all mind altering psychoactive drugs your brain resets and you begin to have control over your actions and the cravings will go and the obsessions will die down.
I’ve seen many people get sobriety and with a month of clean healthy living they get that spark back in life and hindsight in addiction is powerful, you really cannot see how incredibly ill you are when you’re a hopeless drug addict. Alcoholism is a dark place and is no way to live, feelings of wanting to escape and commit suicide are common. The escape is to not drink and you will begin to see the drugs create the darkness.
If you have got back on the substances again I must stress the importance of abstinence, by using you create craving and cravings make you lose control of yourself, you lose the power of choice whether or when you will stop. Drinking or using solves absolutely nothing in life, though in addiction it solves one thing, momentarily it relives the problem which is the addicts mind, drugs are the solution and the mind is the problem. For years I used when it wasn’t doing anything and I wondered why? I was just feeding a craving.
I hope you’re well and sober Chrispy.

^^ couldn’t of said it better myself!
Pretty good. Just today I moved to somewhere MUCH nicer and FAR less stressful!
Been pretty clean, the odd can here, the odd benzo there but not been drunk since I went through the DTs.

environment is huge as far as relapse is concerned, glad to hear you’re in a better situation.
i think so you can a tell a doctor what is your problem .you can try to stop this alcoholism but it is out of control.
Alcohol addiction is a serious problem as it has widespread effects on an individual’s life. Addiction can lead to issues with relationships, health, and retaining employment. Finding the residential center that provides the best Alcohol Rehab Treatment Programs can be difficult, fortunately, with the assistance of Good Future Rehab Center, recovery is possible.
