Just a note to all…

You may mock religion but if it worked for Amy then it worked for her…

this is not a thread in which to slag off peoples beliefs… this is a thread where Amy has opened up and told us all her story..

Getting clean no matter what support you get is a really hard thing to do and Amy should be proud of what she’s accomplished and we shouldn’t be belittling her or how she went about it..

Please stop the slagging off of religion, if you want a discussion on religion please do so in the correct area Spirituality, Morality and Religion Forum

At Amy, welcome to party vibe and thank you for sharing your story with us… I’m not sure if I believe in God per say but I do believe there is something out there…

Keep strong and continue to do what you want and need to do in order to stay clean…

i respect that people have there beliefs and do so .. my comment i actualy belive is possible and have discuss it with people befour not in a pisstaking way but as a serious debate.. but i will keep it to the religon page … i am glad amy had some thing that helped her .. depite what i might belive .. as you say if it works for her then good ..some of other peoples comments were a bit harsh tho .. and they should apologise i think

Fair enough both DF and AcidFairy, and I apologise for my contribution in the mocking of religion.

Ironically I’ll always stand by someone’s right to believe what they will and also for others to live and let live and not force their opinion on others, whereas I was to an extent not abiding by my own morals, and for that I will apologise.

yeah it is a bit ironic as like me you belive in some thing that might be considered mocking religeon … so in beliving and voicing whet you belive it could offend other people that do belive in religeon .. so i think best way for all is if we keep religeon out of the picture other than in the religeon section of the forum 😉

a huge well done for getting though it , an emotional story well done, but dont belittle your achievements by giving religion credit

yeah i am more inclined to to congratulate you for the hard work you have put into getting your self out of a situation you didn’t want to be in .. if by removing your self from a crack den and putting yourself into a curch you have achived what you want .. then good luck to you 😉

not religious myself .but if thats what your into fine by me,more importantly if thats what works for you then great

it must be great to have faith in something ???? i have very little myself ….

mainly in human kind though !!!

so good to hear you actually have something with spiritual meaning in your life …unlike many many others ,……

whatever religion or whatever you follow its most important part is the fact that you have faith in it ,you obviously have and good on ya !!!

Thank you for your kind words…..this is kinda diff for me, being on a forum where most people are in the UK! I have always been very interested in the culture….someday I want to visit. It started when I was 12 or 13 and a HUGE Beatles fan….now I’m a Jane Austen fan lol.

I may just do some more posting in the Religion section! :weee:

you know,
the stuff I’d like to hear more about is your emtional journey as a person through the taking drugs, and your detox / road to recovery
as then prehaps we could get to ‘see’ the real you – rather than just hear you and your churches beliefs?
