she is beautiful, but honestly who cares:hopeless: :hopeless: i’m sure you will beat her Doc:groucho: :groucho:

the hit counter is only another entry in a database table which can be altered at will by anyone with the right access level 😉

she is just a modern version of a page 3 girl (in Britain it was common practice to put a picture of a topless woman on page 3 of a tabloid newspaper – this may still happen with some papers but not others since womens lib movement complained in the 80s- I don’t read tabloids any more)

murdoch is loving it because he is getting loads of content essentially for free with others picking up the production costs… this is the real implications of web 2.0

web 2.0 is merely a marketing term dreamed up by Big Media and corporates for an on-line database where users supply their own content (i.e text, pictures etc) for view by others, but most of the time interspersed with advertising and without the creators receiving payment from corporates their use of the content – their “payment” is supposed to be the free publicity and bandwidth they get.

the driving forces are supposed to be tools which enable a “normal person” to put content on the public internet instead of having to design their own raw HTML code and scripts and have technical knowledge of more advanced software tools.

its something this site and many others have been doing for about 6 years already without any big media backers.
