  • What are they going to do with it though? shell of a knackered old building. a new tube station though is useful, maybe they bought it so some old boys from MY get to play trains with a giant train set :laugh_at:

BBC News – Battersea Power Station sale: Malaysian company beats Chelsea bid

Make it to gigantic soap bubble blower?

TBH that is the sort of daft thing especially the Chinese engineers would do for fun. Maybe that way they could somehow clean up the Thames as well :laugh_at:

    lol sinnner.

I went to a few parties in the building next to that place 😀

I think it was also used as a TV studio and production centre at one point during the 1990s…. they will probably cram everything into it they can and make it into a massive yuppie flat development and offices/call centre. TBH I think the idea is that they want to keep whats left of the nature/jungle in Malaysia as its all been rinsed hard over the last 50 years and so are running short of space to put things.

I expect it will also be used to provide a place for all the folk from MY who come to London to work as accountants etc but return back to their home country in winter. Kuala Lumpur actually doesn’t want them all buggering off to Blighty permanently as there won’t be enough young people left in MY if they did, there isn’t a very high birth rate.

When it was legal to buy and sell human babies there they were about £1500 each and boys and girls went for the same price. thats quite PC for baby selling but for professional classes there is a lot more gender equality in MY and SG than other similar nations and hi tech creates lots more jobs for women..
