Hi All
I’ve been experiencing a burning sensation in the left hand side of my chest. It’s hard to describe but it’s like a small burning sensation i get intermittently along with this i was getting some numbness and tingling in my left arm and tight pinching feeling in certain places of my left arm and some pain in my left leg. Which get 10 times worse when i do any kind of amph.
Now i’ve been doing amph’s for over 10 years and this is the first time i’m getting anything like this ( admittedly a lot more lately). I’ve been doctors twice about it now and been told it’s ‘Anxiety’ and that it’s also nothing as my heart, blood pressure, lungs etc are all fine and basically i should stop doing them!
But from the reading i’m beginning to think it may be a nerve issue as amph’s are CNS stimulator and also a neurotoxin that can cause irreparable damage to the nerves.
So has anyone else had this or anything similar?
p.s Yes i have stopped doing them now until i can find out what the issue is.
are you also fairly fit and active? I’ve always assumed anything like this (which if I get tends to be after doing something like hauling heavy accus from power supplies) to be due to normal aches and pains associated with getting slightly older; amfetamine type drugs can exacerbate these.
Ironically my day job is keeping increasingly business-critical systems running that store info about medical conditions and treatments of old people with all sorts wrong with them; from what I see I wouldn’t worry about the minor side effects of recreational drugs as us men especially are all going to end up with far worse as we go beyond age 60; IMO the worst case scenario of party drugs is simply that you kick croak a few years before you would end up in the nursing homes which in many cases is preferable..
whatever it is, you can guarantee tinternet will tell you you’re dying, or at serious risk. i get weird tinglings and twitches from time to time, but i just put it down to a glitch in the matrix
GL – Yeah keeping myself fit nowadays, exercising and stuff. Hopefully it’s just growing pains as you put it and hopefully it will end up being nothing but it’s playing on my mind coz if it something worse and amph’s/stims exacerbate the situation from now on then i’m fooked! As i’ve been told i’m gonna get prescribed concerta to help me deal with my issues!
I’ve posted this on other threads and one guys come back and said it could possibly be stimulant abuse induced ‘Multiple sclerosis’!! Apparently something Richard Prior suffered with. Lets hope not, hey!
If this continues for you think about neck health, its so very important.
Ask your doctor for an cervical MRI, perhaps there is something going with the vertebrae in your neck.
Could be angina!
From amphetamines? Possible but with that side effect range it could also be something else. I have CNS damage from injecting meth for 9 years, mostly manifested as a severe resting tremor and unprecedented (for me) anxiety. Your describing something more complicated. If it is, though, at all related to my problems I would suggest a psychiatrist and possibly beginning a Beta blocker like Propranolol (US Pharm).
