people here are mature enough to deal with the truth…
if you’d said in post one it was going to be legal you’d have had a much more positive response right from the start.

not strictly true. I’ve been to legal events in EA in recent times and they have been just as fun if not more so than the last set of outdoor free parties, plus when people don’t have to worry about getting rigs or tunes confiscated or being arrested they can put more effort into it.
the unlicensed party scene in East anglia got stopped because people fucked it up for themselves.
Its now time for everyone to accept what has happened and move on, and its a good thing IMO that there are people around like your cousin in the Police service.
Its worth also remembering that if your cousin got put into the anti-rave squad because he was a decent copper, that the rest of society genuinely feels unlicensed raves cause a serious and lasting problem in this region.
