I watched it get built bruv 😛
what is it going to be used for now the olympics are over? would make sense for it to be used for affordable events for folk in East London (similar to how the footy stadium here is used for various events but on a larger scale) but that seems way to sensible for the current government and the companies what paid for it…
Originally Spurs wanted to move into it, but their fans were understandably up in arms about it, then it was apparently West Ham were gonna move there, not quite sure what’s happening at the mo – seems to be a furore over whether the running track gets kept or not that’s holding up any decision.
would make sense to keep it given we won a fair few medals for these events, I am no expert on sports but FFS surely the idea of it was that it could be used for more than one sport/event?
Precisely mate, but the football clubs looking at it wanted it removed as it puts a gap between the players & fans and detracts from the atmosphere. If they want a brand new stadium for free though, they’re gonna have to make some concessions!
Wrong part of London for me lol gimme N17 all the way!!!

Damn straight mate, it’s only cos Levy’s a penny pinching cunt & the fact that the local council were being wankers that made it a possibility, but as far as I know, they’ve now relented & are allowing you to develop White Hart Lane – though with AVB in charge there may be no point! Can’t believe this is a guy who even Burnley turned down just 2 years ago & now he’s suddenly held in high enough regard to have had 2 of the top jobs in English football. As I saw on another site the other day, his success at Porto can be described in 2 words – Radamel Falcao!
a lot of the park is being taking apart. even the massive oversized macy d’s is like lego!

yep thats what I thought, but then again Mo Farah runs for “newham and Essex beagles” (near where daft is) but trains (and lives) nearer where DOTM and tank girl are.
if we are that fucking geographicallly challenged then there is no right to call him a “plastic brit” even if he was born in Somalia, he won us a gold anyway..
in fact he could run from where his club is supposed to be to where he lives and it would be 10 000m but I can see why he doesn’t because if metpol see a black man from Somalia running down the street at high speed they are only going to try and nick him or worse, shoot at him..
not sure if it is still there but I saw a London Underground sign up by the docks here and it was legit, apparently there are some computer systems used by TfL and they are administered 80 miles NW….
