No i was in the RAF , but i knew abit about the weapons used , DU was used in Bosnia as well as the first Gulf War . As for all the injections given during the first gulf war , i dont know all of them but i heard they had a lot . I also heards alot of the drugs used were un trailed and out of date !!!!! , no one is sure if dU or the injections are responsible for gulf war syndrome . All that is clear if only the government would admit it is there is a gulf war syndrome .
Also alot of the bombing raids in the first gulf war hit chemical factories and chemical weapons factories . The down side to this is the wind blew the chemicals onto the allied lines at times , and the detector equipment at the times was designed to detect huge amounts as would be used in a cold war with USSR . As a result the detectors didnt always detect the chemical and when they did go off were ignored as the insect repellant used back then set them off to .
It turns out even that small amount that may have dosed the soldiers could have had a serious health hazard to the troops . Of course all this is denied by the government . A good book to read is “The Killing Factory: Top-secret World of Germ and Chemical Warfare – John Parker ” pretty much tells you all you need to know 🙂
