I’ve got some spare webspace, and want to try and link it to partyvibe radio but make it look something like the console of one of them old skool radio receivers used in listening posts. or an audio/video matrix switcher (as I used to set up the things).
A while back I read about some open source software what allows you to make swfs or similar rather than adobe stuff I can’t afford. anyone got any links/ideas/info about this?
Not sure if you want to make animations and stuff, or are actually interested in coding up the ActionScript that’ll make it interactive (e.g. so when you click things, stuff happens). If it’s the latter, try FlashDevelop.org – Welcome
cheers dude – TBG it would be both – though – that looks like what I was looking at (though its more complex than I thought)
here’s an example (probably wouldn’t use this unless I can clear it with the dude what took it) what I would want to do is let people click on bits of the image and it plays out one of our streams. I may even be overcomplicating things by using Flash and possibly could get away with a mouseover
basically what I want to do is create a display what looks like 1980s style electronics when clicked on but links to our streams using whatever local playout software the user has, though I admit I haven’t done much with raw HTML etc for nearly a decade now..
