I prefer to get my insights on my own, don’t need tools like Tarot cards or pendulums or crystal balls. I’m not saying they don’t have some effect (some people can produce good information with such tools).

Fakes abound though. And the thing with ouija boards is – they’re multi-person use.

i’ve done a ouija bored session for 6 hours, with positive outcomes.

did another the next day, one asked me and my friend to kill the other, then it said you six will die (6 of us who are always together) lol. i told it to piss of and laughed at it, then it wouldn’t leave then starting spinning around the bored extremely fast then the pointer came off the bored towards me i told it to leave once again then it moved to goodbye. then the most darkest feelings i’ve ever experienced happened. on the night it was very windy so a trees branch was slapping against the window and wind blowing through the chimney and candles flickering then it happened. pure silence like the air just stopped, the candles went from flickering to dead still not a hint of movement, tree still banging against the window but no sound. even in a quiet room theres still some form of sound but this was like the life was sucked out of it. then after a minute it went back to normal. never again have i done a ouija bored.

Everybody dies. Doesn’t sound like any kind of insider knowledge there.

You go to all that effort and then say “piss off?”. Hardly diplomatic, not surprised you got freaked.

So all of you people who believe that Ouija boards work by spirits of dead people guiding the trivet actually believe that when you die, you kind of float around waiting to be contacted by people with ouija boards or by mediums or whatever?

And these evil spirits can only manifest themselves if they are called via this game then? So normally we are safe because we haven’t invited them in so to speak? But once we have “contacted” them via a ouija board they pretty much have free reign to do their dark bidding?

OK.

Oiuja boards are controlled by the players of the game subconsciously. The results that are produced are merely as a result of belief and expectation in much the same way that hypnosis works. You are not contacting another realm, merely providing a bridge to the subconscious.

Ouija Boards are proof of the irrational and illogical nature of humanity. The prevalence of homeopathy (proven beyond doubt to be the placebo effect) and astrology (clearly ridiculous on so many levels) worries me more. I guess people need stuff to believe in to make life seem nicer *shrugs*. But then I suppose its no different to religious faith and certainly causes less wars and suffering.

I don’t think I will ever understand people and how they can believe in things that are at best utterly irrational and at worst proven repeatedly to be false. I mean I can understand it in country’s where people are poorly educated but this is the west for gods sake. Its not like we have been brought up with witch doctors and herbal medicine.
