In the UK there is pseudoephedrine in the original Sudafed. That’s a pretty rough high, if it gets you high at all. Doesn’t seem to work with some people. It’s a more peripherally acting stimulant with considerably less dopamine fun than the real stuff. Works for some people as a mild stimulant. But, in most peoples’ opinions it is just too rough of a high.
When too much is taken (typically over 240mg) you can just end up with very unpleasant twitching in your arms and legs. This is probably bordering on the lowest spectrum of having a seizure.
It’s something I have taken when absolutely desperate but why? Guess cos I’m a crazy loon cos it has only occasionally been of any benefit.
Some people talk about dramamine, an anti-sickness med, which is OTC. I have been warned by EVERYONE I’ve spoken to that this is not a way to get high. Apparently the side-effects are hell compared to any ‘benefit’.
There are a few OTC highs out there but they rarely offer much that makes them worthwhile over sobriety imo, unless you really that desperate.
