Good point Angel!!!!
NuSkoolBreaks – oh my f*cking god!
whoops. :-/
kent…
its wierd cause i thought kent police seemed to be quite chilled, there was a big psy party down there couple of weeks ago and the police let it carry on, from what my mate said there was about 4000 people. Guess it must have been in a more suitable location than this one.
damn thats a bit mad!
Not much different from how they have been dealing with it in East Anglia, where Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex were used to shut down a party in ’07 (they didn’t even bring out the Essex units!)
I wonder how much was Kent units and whether they used Sussex and metpol as well?
cops across England and Wales are now working together; from monitoring they know that most determined ravers have access to cars and are prepared to travel hundreds of miles, so are sharing all the info.
The recent NYE party in Kent would have shown up a lot of known vehicles from the “usual suspects” of SE England already on their records. also Kent cops were made a laughing stock in the right wing media last year because they refused to bust a party at nighttime for “health and safety reasons”, and on the psy-trance forums many people there hinted they were “soft” and it was a “good place to do a rave” (just like people once did with EA!)
On a lighter note, I wonder how many radio/TV news reporters over the years have accidentally swapped the syllables of “Kent Constabulary?” :laugh_at:

:crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy:
thats increasingly the normal response since 2004/05, when the cops got airwave radios and can talk across to different divisions/forces
the main reason they didn’t do this 10 yrs ago wasn’t because they didn’t have the resources,but because they had old analogue radios, and in spring/summer atmospheric conditions meant that in SE England they would pick up interference.
This included the soundtracks off foreign TV stations which confused them greatly and would have made it actually unsafe for both cops and civillians in a “public order situation”
now their kit has built in satnavs, picture links and all sorts – a local can dob in a rave and speak directly to frontline officers, and cops from forces the other side of the nation can tip off other constabularies..
Could be the OB took the opportunity of that rave and used it as a training exercise as well. Another reason could be overtime, How many coppers thought ‘sweet earn a bit more money’ from attending. Incidentally how did it all end?
