Peyote & San Pedro Questions Thread

I have a few questions about these Cacti..

1. Are they difficult to grow/maintain?
2. How tall do they grow?
3. How many years/months do they need in order for mescaline to be extracted?

4. What other plants can be grown indoors that produce some sort of psychedelic substance?

1. no, just don’t let your gf decide they’d be good to go in the garden. they won’t, especially if there’s a storm
2. as tall as you will allow them. taller than you lol.
3. even a little one contains mescaline, but this cactus is quite low yield so you’ll need to let it grow a bit. if you keep it healthy it will grow a lot during months with sun, you’ll be shocked, especially if you give it some cacti/plant food and water appropriately.
4. its a long list lol, as long as your imagination, there are a lot of plants

5. if you can extract mescaline then i would like to know you ^^

Ok cool! I’m really interested in growing something that will reward me in the form of a psychedelic and i’m thinking this could be an option.

Hm i’m just wondering what other options there are as i hear these cacti take YEARS to grow to a state where you can extract the mescaline

If you boil some peyote buttons in slightly acidic water (a bit of lemon juice/juice of a citrus fruit will do) you get decently pure mescaline once you boil it down. Or you can just keep the water and drink it as a tea.

Cool, are they legal to cultivate ? Surprised tons of peeps dont grow them if it’s easy & legal

Dried peyote buttons are class A in the UK. But fresh they legal.

I just wonder how long they take to grow to a state where enough mescaline can be extracted to trip on

i’ve had a few cacti round the house for years. the trouble is they are now my babies and i don’t want to murder them. also they had a bit of a rough ride due to an x gf so i’ve taken them under my wing lol… but yeh you can get one and after a couple of summers it will have grown a lot and will be good for a couple of trips. i love the mescaline feeling. in my experience so far it is very enjoyable ride, but i’ve never extracted, i’ve always just consumed the plant matter
